Weather Phobia
Thunder comes rolling across the sky
Lightening bolting, like great fires
I have to watch this from inside
The weather so bad, I'm terrified
The waves of the ocean, come crashing in
The clouds in the skies, they start to spin
Just listening to every weather report
Will my home have to be my fort?
Will it rain enough to flood?
Or will it be just a lot of mud?
The hurricanes and tornadoes, coming in
Will the water rise and terror began?
Do I stay or do I need to evacuate?
Do I leave now or do I wait?
Hurricane's headed here, what shall I do?
Don't know if it will turn, or when it's due
Living near the gulf is a terror each year
Thinking it will hit, causes me great fear
Have a phobia, going into a panic attack
I need to get together, everything I can pack
What do I do and where can I go?
I have to leave soon, the traffic will be slow
Boarding up the windows and taking what I can
Waiting to the last, for this great escape plan
Living near the ocean, causes me great fear
Maybe it won't happen, again next year!
