She Spread Her Wings (Quatrain)
She spread her wings
To touch the sky
Just as I was
Passing her by
I saw beauty
As her wings spread
It was lightly
That I must tread
Her wings were sleek
And long and smooth
I loved the way
They flapped in groove
Oh great eagle
Who caught my eye
I shed a tear
And had to sigh
Nature's beauty
So wild and free
You filled my heart
With joy and glee
I give my thanks
To God above
For giving me
This glimpse of love
