A Lunatic Lady

Along the canal bank
And harvested field,
She roams, with a mind
That had slid from its rail.

Her muddy skirt
And brownish hairs
Flutter in the salty wind,
Like the flags of insanity.

Lonely nights, fire burns
On the distant banks;
Wind smell does tell
She barbecues canal fish.

"During the windy seasons,
Lunacy is let loose" -
Her night shrieks and shouts
Are thus neglected in village logic.

Her stomach swells like our morality
That drowns and swells, day by day,
With myriads of questions
To be answered by Time.
