the weed the booze
the pills the shrooms
the morning's shifting results
daily damage done to liver and lungs
toxin bowel toilet bowl release
whooping cough wetness
phlegm trickled with traces of blood
bitter trance
dry mouth daze
memories giving chase
the night's forgotten trace
the hang over's nauseous ride
JD's self prescribed drunken pride
god like go hard self esteem
Blue nightcap dreams
blowing smoke cloud rings
psychedelic elevations
shot gunning lucid flowing conversations
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Higher! Higher!
Up
and
Up
until the Clouds disperse
Oh and where does it all get us?
Armageddon riddled psyches
anxious perspiring
a procession of souls spiraling
Falling backwards down
the same old familiar staircase
Beaten broken
heavy worn pain prescribed bone
rigid muscle ultra tense nerve
Reeling from the absent hand rail affect
Feeling the absoluteness of next morning regret
Finally
Waking up
Having no memory of how hard I hit my head
Mind producing internal pain
carrying scars and crosses upon the brain
