Mind, Heart, Body
When we met your body was the major attraction.
All my senses craved physical satisfaction.
Your eyes were penetrating and lips divine.
Your gestures were impressive on a frame so fine.
I longed to touch you, but that's when I went wrong.
I needed touch your mind, but I started too strong.
I was selfish and interested only in my own desire,
Not caring about knowing you or what you require.
As a result I had no hope from the very start…
Without knowing you, there wasn't a way to your heart.
Too late I know that it's first mind, heart… then body;
Not actions of a loser in love so selfish and shoddy.
