a fathers Pain
heartbroken, the father stays away
questions unanswered, sorrow & Mr Cry, close friends
transition a blur, the two..
little Girl busted knee, son & Dad at play...
silent witness; triggers come unannounced
the mask readjusted- tightened against the rain
when all asleep, permission to open the gates, granted
silently workmates pass judgement
understands the father, accepts the sentences'
doors left ajar; spies there anger, the disgust!
head bowed, exposed! takes it all
himself still at a loss, a Tool, mindlessly, numbingly, lost
to this existence
comfort only, knowing those Children,
stable now!
'better off they' me not there, gone
this fact 'better off'- he holds dear..........has to
hands ripped apart, let go will not!
take/try, if dare
