Explorations: I
Within me
I carry another self
An invisible twin
Who constantly confused me
When I was still a child
One summer noon
When the town seemed
Seated on a pyre
And damp bedspreads
Dripped water around
Fiery windows
I was forced to
Commit homicide...
Blood trickled
Down my tender thighs...
In the final act
Of drawing curtains
Down on my stage
My biology seemed to
Spell my denouement...
After nursing
Decades of guilt,
I'm acquitted...
He and me
Are after all
Siamese twins!
