In The Rain

I hear the purling of the rain
And I rush out to feel the rain
Rain drops drench me,
I shiver like the flowers in winter breeze
My thoughts are all frozen with joy,
Like leaves of the tree with honeydew,
I relish the refreshing freshness;
It cools all the blaze that ever existed,
As though it quenches my soul,
Sky delumes again as sun shines bright,
Rainbow flashes in the horizon;
It reminds me of the dancing peacock
And I whistle and smile at the passing moment;
Rain may have stopped but the joy will last.
