Upon Fallowed Fields
Love songs cast into the wind
Fall upon fallowed fields
That will never see the rain
Hide in the mudcakes's cracks
Slithering along the edges
Seeking a perfect darkness
Love howls under a full
Forlorn moon of futility
Forever forgiving itself with excuses
Seeking unconditional acceptance
From the corners of suspicious eyes
Love squirms uneasy
In fields of slippery mud
Under bright blue skies
And yellow sunshine
