The girl I used to be
Bright eyed and all smiles
The laughter and joy of being a child
I miss the trees
The peace and tranquillity
I miss me
Spontaneous and impulsive
The girl I used to be
Before they decided to trap me
High on love and life for HIM
I yearn for the understanding we had
The closeness we shared
I miss knowing what YOU might have paved for me
I miss being surrounded by YOUR love
Falling asleep with beautiful thoughts
And waking up each morning, with a smile
I miss me, the girl I used to be
I miss being alive
