Yesterday Now Just A Memory
Now these days gone by
I see you only in my dream
you're always there somewhere
but never here next to me
my head held low
I had to let you go
I knew it had to be
now you must set me free
Like yesterday now just a memory
torn and frayed
love was lost as it would seem
to this scene we already played
as I walk on alone
through this bitter December cold
with nothing left to hold
there's nothing left here to try
with yesterday now just a memory
promises we made are forever gone
these tears turned to a heart of stone
all these years on this highway I roam
So many roads I traveled down
gone town to town
but with yesterday now just a memory
none never lead me back home
