Hit by Lightning
Needless to say
It came in a flash.
My feet took the brunt;
My hair caught fire;
My heart came up my throat.
I gained the wisdom of Socrates
And the rest.
So, on hands and knees,
In respiratory distress,
I shook it off.
And went to a variety store
And bought a set
Of little plastic
Dinosaurs.
