A Dishonesty Has Crept In Me
a dishonesty has crept in me
&
a dishonesty has crept in me.
designs a lie in my mouth
enacts dramas with encounters imaginary,
dreads its vulnerabilities,
writes more scripts to cover up,
and more rehearsals within myself,
restless rollings on a wakeful fear,
the loud hammering of sounds of seconds,
suspicions flood my aching eyes,
and the brain soaks in sweat,
my conscience exiting me punches me hard-
o what a life! a single lie has bled me pale
at last i accept my lie gathering all boldness
now peace floods me with grace
and sleep showers soft blossoms on my soul!
