I played a Melody of Greenery!
A blade of grass
Yearning for a dropp of water
Greyed in its painful penance..
With a pitiful tremble fed it
With a pailful of water
And quenched its thirst in great humility.
O on the nerves the earth
I played a Melody of Greenery!
