O My Merry Moon Born In Me!
O my Merry Moon born in me!
Do not leave without telling me
If that naughty moon
That laughs from the heavens
Calls you for a play-
Without you-
Not even a moment-
My life would not stay in me!
Holding the edge of my sari,
Speaking ever in your honeyed voice,
Circumambulate my legs
And with your tender arms
Lock my legs in love, O life of my life!
And my loving kisses in crores,
All for you I rain on your soul-
But never leave my eyes
Lest I would fall dead, O my breath!
