Chris's Presence
Roll a mile in his chair
see how people stop and stare.
Stare at him for they cannot
figure him out-
he talks real softly
no need to shout.
He is a quiet stirring force
he makes people think
without a choice.
For he is a happy presence
which is a mystery-
most people who walk
-are in misery.
He makes people not take
for granted what they have
count their blessings and
don't let anything go to chance.
