A soldier's Hero
As a young soldier
in the United States Army
the most important thing to me
is my friends and my family
I am not a hero
in any kind of way
the true hero's are the ones
who support me every day
They love me when I'm gone
and they love me when I'm home
No matter where I'm at
I know I'll never be alone
They pick me up when I'm down
And put me back up on my feet
with them inside my heart
I will never face defeat
To me there is no difference
between family and a friend
either way i know
They'll be there 'till the end
So you may think that I'm a hero
but i would have to disagree
because a soldier's true hero
is his friends and family
