America's Pride
America’s pride is growing.
America’s pride is showing.
Flags I see—it seems everywhere.
But were they always there?
Somehow, we didn’t seem to care.
On September 11, it all changed so fast.
And the memories of that day will forever last.
It seemed to be just another day.
We’d all be up and be on our way.
But then out of nowhere, death came from the sky,
And we watched in horror as we saw people die.
Suddenly America’s pride became anew.
Everywhere I look I see the red, white and blue.
Now we’re fighting a people we don’t understand
And sending our planes to a far distant land.
America’s pride is growing.
America’s pride is showing.
