Samurai
Surviving underneath the midnight sky
Hidden by the shadows of this grim world
The tiger is traversing silently
His whole body seemingly unweary
A samurai whose master is the moon
A phantom whose labors go unnoticed
Until after such deeds are at an end
From this his duty you cannot rend
Ev'ry eye that catches a glimpse of him
Finds beauty and terror in his presence
Such strong reactions as reverence and scorn
From sightings of this warrior are born
Unrestrained by the shadows of this world
The tiger is the soldier of heaven
And is the reason why the angels croon
A samurai whose master is the moon
