The Groom Awaits
Before this world can end her days
Before the next can start
Her children need to end their ways
And free her troubled heart
Doubt is the fruit of Satan’s weed
And lies his flower bed
But faith restored by Heaven’s Seed
Can raise the walking dead
The virtue gained by Jesus’ bride
Will righteousness pursue
And through The Flame that burns inside
Will stand forever true
True love’s the crown of Jesus queen
Bestowed with grace above
By faith she hopes of that unseen
Through Christ’s unfailing love
The Christ that died that she might live
The Christ eternal Lord
Through faith in Him and what He’ll give
True life may be restored
True love’s like pearls festooned in gold
Hope is a precious jewel
While faith not bought nor ever sold
Can end the devil’s rule
The Groom Himself attends her hair
Washing in Heaven’s wine
With golden comb and loving care
With fragrant oils divine
With crown of glory made perfect
With ring and shroud aglow
God’s Righteousness and His elect
Will leave the world below
