The question of faith
In the midst of miseries
The faces of staunched
Kept glowing
With tranquiilty and peace
Strengthen by their faith
Anchored in belief
Looking at the empty hole
Deep in the soul
I sighed
Why?
I wondered
The lamp of faith
Shines not
Illuminating the inner realms
Dissipating the darkness around
Giving the gifts of trust and belief
Heart shed a bleeding tear
The mind laughed mockingly
Reminding me the day
When I had sacrificed
Faith on altar of my
Prudent but proud Intellect
Quaint writings: Less of a traditional poetry, more likely food for your thoughts.
