You Were Gone.

I forgot how to breathe.
It's an iron hand grasp tightly around my neck.
You went away, vanished, with out a trace.
I'm motionless.
It was May possibly the best day.
I remember the smell of fresh cut grass.
I was in a hurry to get home fast.
With cheers of joy, i was getting ready to celerbrate the coming of senior year.
While the brush untangled my hair, and make-up tickled my cheeks
my phone rang
you were gone.
I listen to the story with a hint of shock.
I said my goodbyes and forced myself to hang up.
Questions ran through my head.
Who will give me away on my wedding day?
Who will my children call grandpa?
Who will cheer when i graduate?
The ground caught my body.
As i begged for god to give you back.
Tears streamed down my face with a sting in eye.
You were gone.
Anger passed, and stuck I blamed the world for taking my dad.
I crawled with everything I had.
I was face down, I begged god to let me be dead.
Everyone was gone, I remember the feeling of the cold tile floor.
I knew you raised me better then to give up.
I forced myself up, re-did the smeared make-up and headed out with friends.
It's been a year, and your still my bestfriend.
I will always Remember my dad.
