Happiness?

Afar I found my happiness,
a place where I could be my best.
Far away from what caused my distress,
I finally conquered my life-long quest.
The quest to find pure happiness,
that was the quest that I've been blessed.
But what you ask is pure happiness? ..
Honestly, I'm not really sure..
just take a guess.

Being happy as what I see,
is something we always want to be.
But how you ask can we always be,
very happy for eternity?

In our days, this happiness,
it's something we just risk to mess.
But happiness where can we find?
I want to know.. what's on your mind?

George W Bush snake Tony Blair fox trot both asserted
repeatedly Iraq boogeyman Saddam definitely possessed;
Weapons of Mass Destruction WMD’s despite US Iraq...
Survey Group failure to find any weapons quietly closed.

Please focus a spotlight of truth upon false propaganda
fraudulent claim of capitalist politicians in Bush-Blair;
Iraq war of oil arms deals lies smoke screen oily rhetoric...

The Mix

Vanilla, strawberry, chocolate hot
These flavors I crave a lot
Peaches, pecans, pralines so sweet
Cookie dough, mint I like to eat

Headed downward tastes I savor
I know not which I do favor
Pineapples, bananas with whip cream from a tap
These to be consumed from between the gap

Delicacy I like all these to put to the test
Especially when laid upon your chest
Areola covered by caramel is the trick
Gently fondled as I lick

Covered by chocolate as you know
Circles made from neck to toe
Bottoms up as candies I place
Around turned forward now I face

Beating The Heat With Sweet Willows Creamery Ice Cream At The Fairie Festival For Me And My Friends

At the Fairie Festival
The sun beats down on many of us
from above
It's enjoying it's time in the sky of blue
As the minutes go by
The humidity of this day continues to
ratchet up
It may be the beginning of May
But it surely feels like Summer

The nature spirits that I'm friend with
We look for some way to cool off
My friends being a fairy, water nymph,
and goddess

Walking around the Fairie Festival
Water seems to be flying off the shelves
But ice cream from Sweet Willows Creamery
certainly isn't
And so, feeling like we are and considering

Dipped In Superstitions

My mind has been dipped in superstitions.
From the day that I was born to breathe.
Black cats and cracks on dirty sidewalks...
And splitting poles when walking with people!

My mind has been quick to mend a quarrel.
With those who may not agree to speak!
But grandma always spoke to neighbors...
Even if they stoled her peaches off the trees!

'Good manners and respect will save.
You don't want to take evil meanness...
To your grave! '

Sometimes I sit and pick my memory!
Of things my grandma said to me.
She told me don't talk bad of people...
'Bite your lip and watch them slip,

Fools' Prophets

A prophet came as if to preach, with miracles as well...
With strangely spoken truths to teach, to save lost souls from Hell.
It seemed that though he knew God's Word, he'd often add a twist...
Until all wisdom had been blurred and none could get the gist!

His fame and fortune none could doubt, for they grew hand-in-hand,
But none could work his teachings out, for none could understand...
One day, he preached of sacrifice, the next, God was our friend,
The next, that God was not so nice and Hell would never end!

He quoted scriptures now and then, with parables to boot,
To follow with a joke again that people thought was cute...
He even uttered prophecies and some of these came true,
The rest proved lies, catastrophes, as if he had no clue!

He fleeced the foolish flocks each week in lands both near and far,
As every dollar he would seek, saved in his cookie jar...
At first, I thought he was a saint, this devil in disguise,
Whose lifestyle knew not one restraint, then God opened my eyes...

Regrets I Do Not Keep

Loosing your innocence is easy,
Like lying to your mom about having another cookie,
Doing something you'll regret, is easy.

Sometimes you have something so great,
And you don't know how important it is,
you don't see it's worth until it's too late,
You don't hold it to your heart, you don't keep it safe,
And then you lose it, and you see, it was great.

Falling to a higher power of want is so easy,
Like waving at a stranger in a car you pass on your way to work,
Becoming a victim to sin and temptation is easy.

So many things in life are given to you to keep,
And some of them you could never give up,
Like the right to show your feelings, the right to smile, to weep,
And these things you take as a given, yet they are truly a gift.
And some of these gifts we treat like nothing, some we do not keep.

My Generation: The Good Ole Days

I remember a time when radio music was good.
I remember the twin towers and when they stood.
I remember television shows like Boy Meets World and Rocket Power,
sitting there while eating Warheads pretending they weren’t sour.
I remember white Christmases and full streets of lights,
I remember waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve nights.
I remember believing in a fat man with a white beard dressed in red
and every glass of milk and god damn cookie I fed.
I remember board games like Sorry, and Candy Land.
I remember playing in giant turtles; the ones filled with sand.
I remember when all it took was a Yo-Yo to feel fine,
even though I could never walk the dog, it was still a good time.
I remember the days we would all play capture the flag.
I remember the nights we dressed in black and played flashlight tag.
I remember Ghost In The Graveyard never lasted long,
there was always a bad-a** humming the tune of a creepy song.
I remember riding on a big yellow bus to a six hour day of school.
I remember when having Kooshes and Tomagotchi’s was cool.
I remember trading Pogs and Pokémon cards,
but could never get a holographic Charizard.

Mother may I
throw food around
because I am contrary as an infant?

play in the mud
because I like when you have to bathe me?
