Quotes about hover, page 11
The Evening Darkens Over
The evening darkens over
After a day so bright,
The windcapt waves discover
That wild will be the night.
There's sound of distant thunder.
The latest sea-birds hover
Along the cliff's sheer height;
As in the memory wander
Last flutterings of delight,
White wings lost on the white.
There's not a ship in sight;
And as the sun goes under,
Thick clouds conspire to cover
The moon that should rise yonder.
Thou art alone, fond lover.

Tempest
You saw perched on a cliff a maid,
Her raiment white above the breakers,
When the mad sea reared up and played
Its whips of spray on coastal acres
And now and then the lightnings flush,
And purple gleams upon her hover,
And fluttering up in swirling rush,
The wind rides in her airy cover?
Fair is the sea in gales arrayed,
The heavens drained of blue and flashing,
But fairer on her cliff the maid
Than storms and skies and breakers crashing.

Love Lies Bleeding
Love lies bleeding in the bed whereover
Roses lean with smiling mouths or pleading:
Earth lies laughing where the sun's dart clove her:
Love lies bleeding.
Stately shine his purple plumes, exceeding
Pride of princes: nor shall maid or lover
Find on earth a fairer sign worth heeding.
Yet may love, sore wounded scarce recover
Strength and spirit again, with life receding:
Hope and joy, wind-winged, about him hover:
Love lies bleeding.

The Cyclists
Spread on the roadway,
With open-blown jackets,
Like black, soaring pinions,
They swoop down the hillside,
The Cyclists.
Seeming dark-plumaged
Birds, after carrion,
Careening and circling,
Over the dying
Of England.
She lies with her bosom
Beneath them, no longer
The Dominant Mother,
The Virile -- but rotting
Before time.
The smell of her, tainted,
Has bitten their nostrils.

Forces
A house
A boy
A book
Forces of
Different
Kinds pervade
Everything
Of a man's memory of
His struggles for his only residence
Of a mother's impassioned love
For her only son
Of an intellectual soul's
Endless puzzles over esoteric theories
Raised in a book
Forces of all kinds hover over everything
Forces from the multi-faceted human minds
That colour our visions of the world
A world of thoughts and passions
That play with our all our senses

From Doveglion for A.K.
First, a poem must be magical,
Then musical as a sea-gull.
It must be a brightness moving
And hold secret a bird’s flowering.
It must be slender as a bell,
And it must hold fire as well.
It must have the wisdom of bows
And it must kneel like a rose.
It must be able to hear
The luminance of dove and deer.
It must be able to hide
What it seeks, like a bride.
And over all I would like to hover
God, smiling from the poem’s cover.

RIM: The Gazing Gazelle
Remark:
A friend of mine wrote on facebook: 'Rim Rimoucha is going to treat herself tonight...having dinner with her lovely husband to celebrate their wedding anniversary '.
She inspired me the following verses:
Hover into the sky, high and high,
Over the stars, over the sun,
'T is the 30th of June,
Take your time and never run,
Celebrate your moon,
Your bliss has just begun,
Your bliss has just begun...

Chain of Pain
barbwire shadow the pain
of loneliness
as the smoke of truncheon and smell
of powered capture the air
find me the hope of incense
showered the darkness of cloth that
hover in my tears,
for nothing stay than a bullet in the
flesh
sway away the guest
of silent voice
the hall touches blood on the wall
of pain where can be the color
of red mingle than
to sleep in the day where
I was born

Fading Chlorophyll In Maple Leaves of Autumn
Stands still the foliage
In full colors of October
Upon the slopes of Mount Royal
And white seagulls hover
Above the waves
In the port.
The purple foam of urban magic
Penetrates everything and overgrows
This city compressed between hill and river
While the quiet sorrow flows
On the streets
Of downtown.
Stands still the foliage
In full colors of October
Revealing my own life cycle
My receding years, hidden order
Fading chlorophyll
In maple leaves

When A Beautiful Singing Bird Comes Near You
when this beautiful singing bird comes close
to your heart
prepare to open right away what you just closed
prepare the place where it must hover
give it the best twig
let it lay its eggs and let it hatch
give it more time
to stay on its nest
when it begins to sing, listen
savor the pleasure found it its songs
it is something so beautiful in your heart
savor it
you know that this bird seldom comes and when it leaves
it leaves without your notice
