Peace And Goodwill
True peace on earth will never be, without The Lord of Eternity,
And goodwill towards all men, truly begins as we’re Born-Again.
Men sing that Christ has come, but they must embrace the Son,
God’s Son who came to earth, so all man could have New Birth.
That little baby born in a stall, isn’t a babe, but He’s King over all,
As songs about a baby man sings, Christ reigns as King of kings,
The Only True Prince of Peace, with a reign that shall not cease,
And while a babe, nations adore, The Savior, men simply ignore.
Christ came to grant all salvation, but they ignore His Revelation,
Being born of God from above, brings the peace songs speak of,
Born Again by the Spirit of God, while living upon this earthly sod,
Becoming part of God’s Family, with a Peace that lasts Eternally.
Christ did not come for Christmas, but, to redeem sinners like us,
Starting with lost sheep in Israel, then the Gentiles, per God’s will,
To bring the message of Salvation, not to some, but every nation,
A message lost in festive fray, as men sing about Christmas Day.

I think that ladies should ignore
The dictates of the fashion trade
The doubtful claims of haute couture
by so called experts often made.
A wise lady will choose her clothes
to show her assets at their best.
Not as the expert all suppose
to look exactly like the rest.
Dress to suit your face and figure
There is no need to buy in haste
clothes which make your rivals snigger.
Have faith in your own good taste.
Women come in many shades
different shapes and different sizes.
Mature matrons and slim young maids.
Every one that some man prizes.

Seeing Double
When I look at Africa,
I see the wild life- They show the wild living,
I see a people- loving- giving and truly believing,
They show a people heartless and only thirsty for killing,
I see a child holding up a report card saying “I was number one”
They show a child soldier holding up a gun!
I see prosperity, bountiful harvests and good health,
They show poverty, drought, disease and death,
I see the different cultures and tribes they show the tribal wars,
They ignore our strengths and show our greatest flaws,
I guess the good side of Africa doesn’t meet their criteria,
Maybe that is the core of western media,
Always struggling to create a boulder from a pebble,
Ignore the legend let us show the rebel!
So while you stand on the other side of the lense,
Trying to capture me on this side of the fence,
I’ll stay hopeful- I choose to see the glass half full,
Maybe one of your heartless pictures will eventually save Darfur,
Genocide sets news agendas and builds journalistic careers,
I can almost hear the raging roars of the journalist’s ideas,

There Are No Pockets In A Shroud
Money makes the world go round,
I wonder who said that,
It must have been a billionaire,
A grass roots spoiled brat.
They take their lead from politicians,
Do as I say Not as I do,
They write how to fiddle editions,
As more funds they must accrue.
The rich are really all the same,
Whether they act or if they sing,
They'll always preach to you and me,
Money isn't everything.
Don't you find it really strange,
It's actually quite funny,
That the very people who make this claim,
Have all got loads of money.

If It Was About A Lot Of Money
If it was about a lot of money...
My mind would be,
Trimmed in dollar bills.
With-my-thoughts-on a million of them,
And a caring less of my fellowman.
And if it was about a lot of money...
I'd ignore,
Every two cents made.
By anybody wanting to deliver to me,
Any consciousness attached to common sense.
If it was about a lot of money.
If it was about a lot of money.
If it was about a lot of money...
I wouldn't be concerned about the suffering seen.
And if it was about a lot of money.
If it was about a lot of money.
And if it was about a lot of money...

Neither 'Dope' Nor 'Sick
Too much of today's nonsense,
I carried on my heart and this had to be confronted.
It had to stop from where it started.
Although many 'ifs' I had a lot!
And those big lip kids on my block...
You know the ones,
That taunt their parents, the elders AND the cops...
Would look at me when I spoke to them.
As if I was a fossil that had rotted!
'Drop poppa.
He too old.
The words he say are molded.
Drop poppa from the mix.
He's neither 'dope' nor 'sick'.
Drop poppa.
He too old.

Gluttony and I
I have Gluttony's appetite!
my calories intoxicate.
Food plumps my mental wit;
eating slight dulls merriment.
Fill my tankard now!
Let Gluttony abound!
Heave comestibles round my plate!
Obscure my seat mates stick-thin bags of bones.
I vowed at 35 to then forsake
the premature death self-denial brings.
At death, in a coffin large, perhaps,
no one will shame or condemn me
simply because I ate my fill
and bedded down with Gluttony.
No one will say at my Wake
'My he looks beautifully thin'
rather I fully expect

Influenced By Europeans
As An American I can say,
I've been influenced by Europeans.
I grew up with Jews and Italians,
Most of my young life.
My high school had a mixture,
Of Russians, Portuguese, French
And Spaniards.
Who would find me humorous...
When the teacher saw my hand raised,
To sometimes ignore.
Until I made outbursts.
Expecting from her more.
I took two years of French.
And had friends of several races.
Then one day all of that was changed.
When the city I now live in...
Became a place for bigoted racists.
Oh there may be many who will try to deny what I say.

Suddenly Images Change
Too many now bending under heat,
Like drying crops.
Without a drop...
Of reviving fresh water.
Others would rather ignore their pleas,
And let them rot.
Like the weeding,
Of their wicked disorder!
Suddenly images change.
Those now in pain,
Are the ones...
Who chose to inflict it.
Suddenly they all seem insane.
Those who disdained,
Are now the ones...
Mentally conflicted.

As Our Planet Dies
This planet Earth is quite unique,
I live, I breathe, I'm alive,
If you take out all my goodness,
I will no longer thrive
This planet like you is dependant,
On everything that's here,
By plundering my resources,
The end is now drawing near.
You are living on a knife-edge,
Yet still you choose to ignore,
Our planet is slowly dying,
I just can't take any more.
My ice caps they are melting fast,
As temperatures have increased,
Yet still you Humans ignore the facts,
You have awoken a raging beast.
