The lines of her dress were classic
She was curvy and tall and thin
She’d blood red shiny fingernails
Estee Lauder was under her chin

It was dark in the room when she entered
Except for a candle and chair
And a man with a handful of flowers
Expectantly waiting there

He wanted to be romantic
He wanted to be interesting
But she knew what he really was there for
In spite of the left handed ring

Yet she let down her hair with a flourish
Even though he had lied like a bum
She had lied to herself and she knew it

I've finally hit it
I hit the bottom
And it hurt like hell
Nobody is to blame I guess
Except the one looking back at me

Battle field musings

Battlefield musings

I am aware that thousands lie beneath the soil below the sky
I listen to their silent cry. Why were we sent to fight and die?
They came from every walk of life and briefly trained to join the strife.
In the Great War to end all wars. Convinced they fought in freedoms cause.
The men of God the padres lied, they said that God was on our side
That he would grant them victory but they were wrong quite obviously.
The tides of war ebbed to and fro. It was impossible to know.
Which side if either was ahead. The quick were fewer than the dead
Young soldiers by the thousand died in the name of national pride.
Eventually it was agreed that the Germans would concede.
But was it worth the sacrifice. There is no answer satisfies
The myriads who fought and died. The truth is that their leaders lied
Now poppies grow in Flanders fields where the dead increase the yield
of crops the local farmers grow. We can’t pretend we do not know
There are no winners in a war, a lesson we choose to ignore.
We only pay lip service to, a fact we know too well is true.

A SOUL DEPARTED TODAY AT PIET

A soul exited Today to the abode of heaven
I could not recall his face as others say was a man

Known among his strange friends as a bonhomie
Torn in the mortar of all filial enemy

Upon his exit, all celebrated the pain of loss
No matter what it cost to him to edify such bliss

As all would die; none would be redeemed
Soul would rest in peace in the house of God

All we have is his memories so fresh
Like balm on a cut unready to dress

How Will This World End?

With this world so unstable friend, just how will this world end?
Although not God’s first desire, this world friend will end in fire.
God first desired fellowship when in His image He created men.
He even made Paradise friend, that for them would have no end.

However the fellowship went awry when that ancient serpent lied.
The serpent cunning lied to Eve and she and Adam fell deceived.
That dreaded sin brought a curse upon Adam, Eve and this earth.
Satan has been eternally cursed but man can experience new birth.

At God’s own appointed time Christ renewed God’s initial design.
And at the return of The Lord all things in Christ will be restored.
Even creation groans in expectation of The Creator’s Revelation.
And all things will be made new, all the earth and the heavens too.

The older things will pass away with Righteousness here to stay.
When with fire the earth is purged, it will remove Satan’s scourge.
But Satan who will be chained my friend will be loosed at the end.
Set free to deceive once more, but quickly cast away forevermore.

CITY

We all came to the CITY
This city of love, joy & pain
We wet ourselves in the RAIN
We hurt ourselves again
We told them we wont CRY! !

When We Were Here Together

when we were here together in a place we did not know, nor one
another.
A bit of grass held between the teeth for a moment, bright hair on the
wind.
What we were we did not know, nor even the grass or the flame of
hair turning to ash on the wind.
But they lied about that. From the beginning they lied. To the child,
telling him that there was somewhere anger against him, and a
hatred against him, and the only reason for his being in the
world.
But never did they tell him that the only evil and danger was in
themselves; that they alone were the prisoners and the betrayers;
that they - they alone - were responsible for what was being done
in the world.
And they told the child to starve and to kill the child that was within
him; for only by doing this could he become a useful and adjusted
member of the community which they had prepared for him.

Alive

throughout their lives they lied to all around.
there was no truth to be found.
they cheated every chance that they could
and with family, it mattered not if they should.
then one day it came to pass
that they was confronted by an angel from above
and they expected compassion and love.
the angel told them: to look around
at all the destruction that was found.
you have put all these people through
a living hell, and with each one you rang a bell.

a bell that you claimed was to all your successes
of cheating and conniving people out of the wordly goods
and that you did'nt even need a hood.
now you are at deaths door
and it's time to settle the score.
you are going to be given a chance to make things right
