Mask

In life you meet various people,
some cunning some innocently simple.
the two types are always disguised,
by a mask of emotions, carefully devised.

When you meet someone you cant be sure,
whether their heart is corrupt or pure.
' how much more time? ' you ask,
'before I get to know, the man behind the mask.'

Sometimes you are lucky enough,
to find a soft heart,
beneath an exterior that's rough.
but alas those unlucky souls,
who meet people with selfish goals.
They call them a friend and hold them dear,
but do not realise, that they are not as they appear.

It hurts a lot when 'friends' turn foes,
For sharp thorns do accompany the beautiful rose.

Now rosy May comes in wi' flowers,
To deck her gay, green-spreading bowers;
And now comes in the happy hours,
To wander wi' my Davie.

I Meet A Lady Called Amina

Accidentally I meet her
She smiles, my heart gets sweeter
We started bawling honey words to ourselves
Alone, I smile, laugh, reflecting while staring at shelves
She sing me a song called Hallelujah
when alone my mind keep playing it ten times over

I became a victim of her magic spell
I stressed, I confused, I can't imagine, how to make my mouth tell
With countless thoughts engulfing my senses
I couldn't think of apeasing ways except to manipulate her defences
I was too foolish to think of manipulations
She called her heart and cancelled our friendly affections

I stand like a statue hating myself
Pleading like a league of mad men beating themself
She couldn't say a word except ''let me be''
I begged continuously, striving to set my heart free
She become dumbed to all my apology
And I become selfish, for helping me, not letting her be

Just Being Myself

just being myself is enough for me.
there is no need for a better you. you are enough for yourself too.
there is no need for a comparison. there are no points of collisions.
we meet and we say hello.and then we always have to say goodbye.
some memories may linger but we always have the time
to discard them. there are always new things coming for our eyes to gaze upon.
we always wonder under the stars on our dark nights.
we wander. we walk the distances of our lives. we even forget what time is it.
we meet again and say hello and say i remember you we meet once.
but where was that and when. you ask the same question. and we laugh
at our forgetting who we once were.
for in truth, what we were was not just love.
it was also pain.
and it is but right that we discharge them.
all about us.it is our right and duty to survive the harshness of the times.
we travel distances again. we meet new faces. we keep a track of what
we must become.
we always strive for happiness.we choose emotions.
we decide. to live some more.
we go back to faith. we meet again this time. stronger.

Can’t Feel Your Heartbeat, But I Can Feel Your Breaths

Hell fire and high heels –
Blue pills and backseats,
Needle points with track meet hearts,
Death rattles, and blood baths, amongst the dead heat.

Now I dance in the moon light,
Gold and good intentions pave my streets.
These words lost in notions of wrong and right,
A sad, sad day when Angels and Demons meet.

She is mental atrophy, emotional paralysis –
Love's sweet and unyielding cancer,
She is pandemonium at its worst, carnage at its best,
This woman is the devils dancer.

II ALUMNI MEET OF PMCians,2012 - A Gist

What seniors told their junior medicos:
The second Alumni meet at PMC
had drawn a sizable crowd of seniors;
Some came from ev'n abroad to take part in
the get-together arranged hurriedly.

They couldn't believe their eyes when they all met;
It was a dream come true for all of them;
It was the labour sheer of '06 batch;
Hats off to those who made the meet happen.

Thanks to the Dean, VP and medicos!
It was a pleasant meet with kith and kin;
It was all joy to meet colleagues that day;
It was a day of mixed emotions!

All shared some precious moments of their lives;
They owed their present status to teachers;
They were so proud of their Alma Mater;
They loved their college which made them doctors.
