Quotes about slow, page 11
The Churchyard
HOW slowly creeps the hand of Time
On the old clock’s green-mantled face!
Yea, slowly as those ivies climb,
The hours roll round with patient pace;
The drowsy rooks caw on the tower,
The tame doves hover round and round;
Below, the slow grass hour by hour
Makes green God’s sleeping-ground.
All moves, but nothing here is swift;
The grass grows deep, the green boughs shoot;
From east to west the shadows drift;
The earth feels heavenward underfoot;
The slow stream through the bridge doth stray
With water-lilies on its marge,
And slowly, pil’d with scented hay,
Creeps by the silent barge.
All stirs, but nothing here is loud:
The cushat broods, the cuckoo cries;

Plateau Rising
Modulator toting.
Demodulator coding.
Flashed and minimized...
Decoded modem-ized!
Speeding as we go,
In Information modes!
Horse and buggy days are gone,
But so many still hang on.
With attempts to stop the pace...
To slow down a human race!
Getting out of hand,
But no one group can command!
With computers in control...
Of everything we know!
Up on plateaus!
On plateau rising goals!
Made with two wheels

Psychoanalysis: An Elegy
What are you thinking about?
I am thinking of an early summer.
I am thinking of wet hills in the rain
Pouring water. Shedding it
Down empty acres of oak and manzanita
Down to the old green brush tangled in the sun,
Greasewood, sage, and spring mustard.
Or the hot wind coming down from Santa Ana
Driving the hills crazy,
A fast wind with a bit of dust in it
Bruising everything and making the seed sweet.
Or down in the city where the peach trees
Are awkward as young horses,
And there are kites caught on the wires
Up above the street lamps,
And the storm drains are all choked with dead branches.
What are you thinking?

Whistle by Flo-Rida
Can you blow my whistle baby, whistle baby (ohh baby ohh baby poooo)
Let me know
Girl I'm gonna show you how to do it
And we start real slow
You just put your lips together
And you come real close
Can you blow my whistle baby, whistle baby
Here we go
I'm betting you like bebop
And I'm betting you love creep mode
And I'm betting you like girls that give love to girls
And stroke your little ego
I bet you're guilty your honor
But that's how we live in my genre
When I hell I pay the rottweiler
There's only one flo, and one rida
I'm a damn shame
Order more champagne, pull a damn hamstring
Tryna put it on ya

Broken Butterfly
Ripping the wings off the butterfly.
Now tell me, how is it suppose to survive?
Motions so slow.
The breath is fading.
Tell me, why is this so contagious?
An addiction to equally distribute a common affliction.
Enjoying the show.
Watching them suffer.
If it is for your entertainment does that make it any different?
Ripping the wings off the butterfly.
Now tell me, how is it suppose to survive?
Motions so slow.
The breath is fading.
Tell me, why is this so contagious?
Here's a lullaby go to asleep now.
It was only a dream.
Then why is their so much pain?

April
Pale season, watcher in unvexed suspense,
Still priestess of the patient middle day,
Betwixt wild March's humored petulance
And the warm wooing of green kirtled May,
Maid month of sunny peace and sober grey,
Weaver of flowers in sunward glades that ring
With murmur of libation to the spring:
As memory of pain, all past, is peace,
And joy, dream-tasted, hath the deepest cheer,
So art thou sweetest of all months that lease
The twelve short spaces of the flying year.
The bloomless days are dead, and frozen fear
No more for many moons shall vex the earth,
Dreaming of summer and fruit laden mirth.
The grey song-sparrows full of spring have sung
Their clear thin silvery tunes in leafless trees;
The robin hops, and whistles, and among
The silver-tasseled poplars the brown bees

Slow Dawn
midnight people rushing for a downtown train
watching and wasting away
empty hearts beat free
cool frequency
and I don't know what it is
I'm gonna run
the slow dawn
seeking sigh
oh so faint
I'm gonna run
the slow dawn
away
it's best undone
[hard to hear this part]
and I'm not sure what it is
but I'm sure that I can give
away the slow dawn
slow dawn moves by your side
takes your silent sleep
slow dawn

Slow Down
Lost the time to live no time to take
caught in a cycle that won't give you a break
tensions running high I can see it in your eyes
you call that success I call it a lie
Slow down
I've got to slow down cause I want
to see all of what this world has to offer me
take a break appreciate
before this lifetime slips away
Slow down
try to think back a long time ago
when life was for living and the pace was slow
wasn't it worth itWill you stay
I hope I don't let it slip away

Virginia
(jesse valenzuela)
Its like trying to light a cigarette
When the matches you got are soaking wet
Tallest buildings they got are bound to fall
When its coming down like a wrecking ball
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Virginia
Its everything thats cool rolled into one
Everything thats not is left alone
You can hear it ring from near and far
You can hear it scream like a fire alarm
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Slow down, virginia
Dont make me wait
Virginia
Sometimes it sounds like shes been crying

Slow Jam
(Usher)
I was all alone
I was feeling rather low
I needed someone to lift my spirits up
So I dropped in on a dance
Just to take a glance
And there this lovely thing was
She was more than enough
I asked her for her hand
Said would you like to dance
So pleased that I had asked
She quickly took my hand
And we danced and fell in love
On a slow jam
Ohhh
Hook
Play another slow jam
This time make it sweet
