Quotes about snail, page 11
A safe snail way
We make love in the way.
You carve for me that way,
That no one but I know.
It’s the safe way, you show.
I knew I wouldn’t deviate.
I shall love you in the way,
Without embarrassment,
Without predicament,
But with subtle engagement.
I knew your carved way.
You want to fish, and fish
Without hands becoming wet.
I shall be your safe bet.
Let us love in your way.
My drive is to make you gay.
Just the love you repay.
Your way is like a snail.
I suppose it is a safe sail.

Let's Play Our Roles!
Joy makes time fly soon ever!
Grief makes time move as snail!
Love consoles to regain mood!
Between joy and grief we sail on
Same boat of life on ocean broad;
Harbours are a lot but end's one!
Seeing love and war follow rules
Not so ever as there's nothing
Fair or foul for both in the world!
Ocean of world has treasures hidden
That only wise ones know where ever
However hard all toil day and night!
Till all reach the destiny of journey all
Play their roles king or pauper ever!

The Healer faith
poison my heart
with oozing pain needless
the bottom sea tangle with ragtag tipsters
snail of sand, for
the hour permits my flesh to turn to dust
burn my emotional distress, the morning voice
laugh my being losing beyond
the ecstasy of cleverness
and come hold the entire body rotten to piece
I’m will surely die
lay down to the extended sail of the sea's and fresh
the medium air passes to the nostril,
I vow then to lost
as the ended horizon gallops my destiny
I come to an end my love, say
goodbye...

Eternity, And Such...
eternity, and such...
the stain in the coffee cup,
the holes in the old man's underwear.
the rough tongue of a stray cat,
the shadow moving in the alley.
the trail left by the snail,
paper cups blown by the wind.
the blood left on the highway,
the dog dead in the ditch.
the glass shattered on the floor,
the stink of the body
three days after...
the limb torn from the tree
by the memory of storm.
your pillow, my hat,
a shot of brandy in an empty room.
the sound the heart makes...
when no one can hear!

Sweet smelling afternoon
You are lying on your back
with a straw hat drawn at eye height over hair
sun-struck, curling and fair
with a rain cloud ominous and black
drifting past in a blue sky and a small track
needing some repair
meander past and grey ibises in a pair
are picking at a snail snack
and the smell of fresh Lucerne in purple flowers
is almost enveloping
after the last rain showers
and you play your guitar and sing
a sweet melody like a pop star but without followers
and the beauty of spring is around us in everything.

Shadowland (Love Poem)
Trees whisper with a lazy-leafed murmur,
Starlight strange in this shadow-land stark,
At night window-watching, wanting, wishing,
Empty black winding road, without you.
Wind moans soft and branches knock,
Ceiling alive with my shadow nightmare,
An acre of bed, listless, lonely, longing,
Soft white sheets unruffled, without you.
Rain rattles like a rasping smoker’s cough,
Spot-lit droplets make snail shadowed walls
Staring solo awake, alone, alert, alas,
Boredom-struck insomniac, without you.

The Balcony
A STREET at night, a silent square
That mirth forbids;
Whose windows, with drawn lips and narrowed lids,
Resent the intruder's stare.
Where winds are cautious in their play,
Where only steals
Some meager brougham on its muffled wheels
Before the portals grey.
But suddenly a window swings,
A hand is laid
For one white moment on the balustrade,
And benediction brings.
I linger . . . but, O influence malign
I watch a snail
Crawl casually along the painted rail,
Where I had built a shrine!

This Is Think I Know
that when you are holding
a thread
and you know that the end of the thread is this..
then you don't mind giving up everything
whatever that was hidden
a hundred fathoms down
whatever was unsaid because you have been muted
at the end of the last dot
you don't mind who listens at you
a priest or a prostitute
a snail or a snake
you tell them all
you let go what winged creature stays in the nest of your hair
and then
you smile
close your eyes

(100 words = Ekatolexon) Pen House
Dark skin means too much cold, mother said, but I refused to move to Africa with them. Dada ate Mama. I stayed in my pen, locked forever. Next day I came out and swabbed the ink from the living squid I kept to feed my left wisdom tooth. I removed it with a blue napkin but it didn’t work. That’s when I called my mentor, “Come stay with me”. She told me, “I already have sons”. But I was a girl! And she knew! How ever on earth would a young snail like her turn to a full able-bodied leech?

Silent Grave
the silent grave
swept clean by time,
knowing only the wind
that undresses the night.
the eyes of an owl,
dead branches walking...
moonlight and darkness
thrust and parry, and dance.
the smell of damp earth,
the kingdom of spider and snail...
moss and vines wrapped
around the throat of time...
no footprints, no memories,
no flapping of wings....
the unnamed hand covers
