My Excuses
I started on my homewor
but my pen ran out of ink.
My hamster ate my homework.
My computer's on the blink.
I accidentally dropped itin the soup my mom was cooking.
My brother flushed it down the toiletwhen I wasn't looking.
My mother ran my homeworkthrough the washer and the dryer.
An airplane crashed into our house.
My homework caught on fire.
Tornadoes blew my notes away.
Volcanoes struck our town.
My homework was taken
by an evil killer clown.
Some aliens abducted me.
I had a shark attack.
A pirate swiped my homework
and refused to give it back.
It took so long to make these upI realized, with dread,
it would have just been easier
to do the work instead.

Pirates And Rebels
Of the pirates and the rebels in Africa!
And like the pirates and rebels in Asia;
But do not kill mankind to rob him or her,
For the wages of sin is death!
Why are you a rebel or a pirate on this earth?
Why do you kidnap other people?
Pirates and rebels of Africa and of the world!
You all have a religion and what you worship,
But are we safe with you people on this earth? !
Yet still you go and pray to your Gods and Goddesses;
And i don't understand why,
Because a positive person will never rob and kill somebody!
Are you not ready to work for a living?
Or, is this act the best way to serve your Gods and Goddessses? !
Then think twice before it is too late,
Because someone is watching you from above!

Thief of the Moon
Thief of the moon, thou robber of old delight,
Thy charms have stolen the star-gold, quenched the moon-
Cold, cold are the birds that, bubbling out of night,
Cried once to my ears their unremembered tune-
Dark are those orchards, their leaves no longer shine,
No orange's gold is globed like moonrise there-
O thief of the earth's old loveliness, once mine,
Why dost thou waste all beauty to make thee fair?
Break, break thy strings, thou lutanists of earth,
Thy musics touch me not-let midnight cover
With pitchy seas those leaves of orange and lime,
I'll not repent. The world's no longer worth
One smile from thee, dear pirate of place and time,
Thief of old loves that haunted once thy lover!

The Pirate Life
We may have to fight
With concealed guns
And razor-sharp knives
To make it from the east side
To our lost friends on the west side.
We have seen the blood-spattered pavement
Mournfully cradle the dead,
Eyes begin to slowly shut
Softly flashing last prayers
And farewell glances.
The pirate life in the gang-sectioned-off city,
Luna, with your tight jeans and sweet smile,
We made peace with the Hispanic kids,
They’ll let us slide for the next mile
Until we at least catch up with Joey the Freak.
Hold on tight the journey has just begun
And I can feel the breath of considerable threats,

Dreamy Daze
In a deep purple haze,
coated in ultraviolet rays,
I am captured and caught,
deep in convalescent thought,
dreaming during the day,
full of tales of the fey,
leading to your heart’s desire,
and to what you aspire.
Whether it is some heavenly fantasy,
or reliving some part of history,
here you are in your own world,
with treasure gemmed and pearled,
as a sea-faring, swashbuckling pirate,
leading and tempting your own fate,
as whatever you want to be,
a special haven for you and me.
All people are welcome here,
as all new horizons are clear,
although reddened by sunset,
the long and unsettled debt,

My Childhood Faded Away
My childhood has faded away
In those days I had no bills to pay.
I close my eyes and remember those days.
Childhood dreams filled with love,
Hide and seek, my baseball glove,
No heavy chains,
Warm summer rains.
Fiery dragons, flying high in the sky,
Pirate ships, Captain Bligh.
Munching sweet apples,
Candy peppermint,
Rosy red cheeks,
Innocense.
Long ago, not by chance,
Under my bed, monsters danced.
Through the years a backward glance,
Wishing I had my bell bottom pants.

A Little Boy's Dream
To and fro, to and fro
In my little boat I go
Sailing far across the sea
All alone, just little me.
And the sea is big and strong
And the journey very long.
To and fro, to and fro
In my little boat I go.
Sea and sky, sea and sky,
Quietly on the deck I lie,
Having just a little rest.
I have really done my best
In an awful pirate fight,
But we cdaptured them all right.
Sea and sky, sea and sky,
Quietly on the deck I lie--
Far away, far away
From my home and from my play,

Wishing I'd Been Spartacus
Wouldn't it have been something
To have been a Gladiator in ancient Rome
Instead of being stuck in a call centre
Having to talk to irate people on the phone?
Wouldn't it have been really exciting
To have been a cowboy in the Wild West
Instead of working in an office
Advising people on how to invest?
Wouldn't it have been exhilarating
To have been a pirate on the seven seas
Instead of being employed in a shop
Stacking shelves with tins of soup and peas?
Wouldn't it have been truly dangerous
To have been a gangster like Al Capone
instead of having to cold call people
Asking them if they need a loan?
And wouldn't it have been totally awesome
To have been an Apache Red Indian
Instead of sitting here daydreaming thinking,
I wonder what it's like to be an Alien?

All Homeward Bound...
there is a poem that looks like a map
the syllables are trails
and there is a word that sounds so
striking
and you equate it with the 'x'
where the treasure
is supposedly found
and you keep it in your mind
always figuring
'x'
'x'
'x'
what is really 'x'?
as a treasure you mistake it for
the usual gold,

While in church
While I was in church last sunday I thought back.
Back to when I was a teen.I remembered this day.
It was the day my father used his fist to punch me in the jawl.
Then he said these words to me.' You will never be anything! '
So as I had that thought in the back of my head. The front of my head
was thinking this may be true, but what I do know now is I'll be anything
in the hands of my heavenly father. Then I prayed this prayer.Heavenly father I love you please forgive my father for his sinn that day he did
what he did to me, and forgive my mother, sister and brother for thier sinns. And watch over my son's forgive them for thier sinns.Watch over
thier mothers and my girlfriend and keep them save.In your son's holly
name I pray this prayer. Thank you my loveing father.'AMEN'
