Quotes about secretary, page 13
0020 The Faithful Servant
and when she took the job
of being his secretary, adored
his manliness – his powers,
his integrity, his fierce command,
his piercing blue eyes, and
his mischief…how could she not
eventually, become his wife?
Faithful to her wedding vows, she
miscarried twice, eventually
bore him a son; allowing him
to continue making all the family decisions
which eventually cut them off
from both their families – even
took his side in the many battles
with his disoriented son battling for his own identity;
and when – eventually –
stone deaf, demented, and incontinent,
and fierce as ever, blue eyes blazing
with anger, he became impossible,
she continued to nurse him single-handed;

The Manageable Nightmares of Everyday Life
At the first sight of sunlight
Mr. and Mrs. S-‘s alarm radio
Sings along with the morning crow
As he watches the daisies go
In the direction the breeze pleases to take them but
Mr. S- is just getting into his aluminum sided hut
After a night of working late with his sweet secretary
He met his mistress in front of the library
Slides silently in bed
And pretends to be asleep
An hour later Mrs. S- does the same
Without making a peep
Irene S- hates her name and believes that’s why
She’s unpopular with everyone
Both the girls and the guys
Tries to tell her parents but their answers are clichéd
Takes it as fact that she’s fat
So she decides to lose some weight
Disgraced with her waist her self esteem gets thinner

I Lost You To Money
You have walked great distances in a trance
Not noticing that life is more than a chance
You have laughter and love every day here
But you're not happy and chose to overhear
In every corner you are hunting for money
Missing all joy and the things that are funny
You can only smile about your bank account
Attaching to everything you value an amount
You are stressed but you just keep on going
Satisfaction equals numbers that are growing
You don't see that life is just passing you by
Failing to notice the sunshine and the blue sky
You look stunning in your shirt and tailored suit
But that's all you ever wear you can't dispute
I speak more often to your secretary than to you
You've no time and I'm just waiting in your queue

Sweetie's Poesies
Based at home
I get the time
To do his job
Searches, covering
Letters and applications
Whenever he wants
New openings…
I'm his private
Secretary, you
May say :)
Wish he also
Had the time
To give me
An audience
For my poetry.
He's so busy
With his work

Hiram Scates
I tried to win the nomination
For president of the County-board
And I made speeches all over the County
Denouncing Solomon Purple, my rival,
As an enemy of the people,
In league with the master-foes of man.
Young idealists, broken warriors,
Hobbling on one crutch of hope,
Souls that stake their all on the truth,
Losers of worlds at heaven's bidding,
Flocked about me and followed my voice
As the savior of the County.
But Solomon won the nomination;
And then I faced about,
And rallied my followers to his standard,
And made him victor, made him King
Of the Golden Mountain with the door
Which closed on my heels just as I entered,
Flattered by Solomon's invitation,
To be the County -- board's secretary.

Death Is No Mere Farm Hand
Death is no mere farm hand
But an agronomist, an expert,
A planner, a bureaucrat,
God's secretary of Agriculture.
Too busy for us.
Never seen except for photo opps,
Occasional interviews,
Especially during disasters, —
God’s personal observer.
So, we just get to meet the line staff,
Lifers most of them,
Angels counting off their years
Before retirement
Or transfer to a desk job.
Thank God they are often bored,
Work slowly,
Avoid deadlines.
Blessed celestial slackers

My Expertise Is In Politics
There was a promise you made.
With the giving to the people,
Of your word you would keep...
Our interests kept as your priority.
Everything you said would be concised and clear.
Free of frivolity...
And you'd make your policies precise and sincere.
Letting people who elected you,
First to have your ear.
However...
As soon as you were sworn into office,
You quickly disappeared.
Do you have an explanation for this.
Please,
By all means.
Your response is what we wish to hear.
'Sure!

Glued To The Script
Stylish.
Impeccable taste.
And that shows in her public appearances.
Flawless diction.
Eloquent with undeniable intelligence.
Extremely cool under pressure.
And...
You must agree,
She has an engaging personality.
'And...
You must agree,
She has been noticeably absent of late.'
Give her a break.
Cut her some slack.
You know she has been traveling the world,
Patching up indifferences.
And easing volatile tensions at that!

The dateless day of September
All the gods of
All the religions
Of the world
Called on a meeting
Held on
12th September
7 years back
Because of the
Previous day’s
Heinous act
Which took away
Thousands of lives
And brought down
The hope of the
Entire human race
On the possible
Accommodative
And accomplishing
Human understanding
