Quotes about vintage, page 14

A Pot Of Tea

You make it in your mess-tin by the brazier's rosy gleam;
You watch it cloud, then settle amber clear;
You lift it with your bay'nit, and you sniff the fragrant steam;
The very breath of it is ripe with cheer.
You're awful cold and dirty, and a-cursin' of your lot;
You scoff the blushin' 'alf of it, so rich and rippin' 'ot;
It bucks you up like anythink, just seems to touch the spot:
God bless the man that first discovered Tea!

Since I came out to fight in France, which ain't the other day,
I think I've drunk enough to float a barge;
All kinds of fancy foreign dope, from caffy and doo lay,
To rum they serves you out before a charge.
In back rooms of estaminays I've gurgled pints of cham;
I've swilled down mugs of cider till I've felt a bloomin' dam;
But 'struth! they all ain't in it with the vintage of Assam:
God bless the man that first invented Tea!

I think them lazy lumps o' gods wot kips on asphodel
Swigs nectar that's a flavour of Oolong;

Red, Sparkling Wine

I Have Seen A Sight
Of a Man Falling Down …
… it wasn’t for a Fight
… but it was due to what He’d Found …

… Red Sparkling Wine… Does It Every Time
Red Sparkling Wine… She Should Be A Crime …
Red Sparkling Wine…

She Starts out – Flowing – Smooth
Gets in Your Blood – Then You got Somethin’ to Prove!
You Chase Her Intoxicating Perfume
… must be Brand X … or Lady-Doom …

… Red Sparkling Wine… Does It Every Time
Red Sparkling Wine… Feeling So Sublime …
Red Sparkling Wine…

… Sweet from the Vine, but She ain’t Vintage
Make You Loose Your Mind and Your Hard-Earned Wages

My Bay'nit

When first I left Blighty they gave me a bay'nit
And told me it 'ad to be smothered wiv gore;
But blimey! I 'aven't been able to stain it,
So far as I've gone wiv the vintage of war.
For ain't it a fraud! when a Boche and yours truly
Gits into a mix in the grit and the grime,
'E jerks up 'is 'ands wiv a yell and 'e's duly
Part of me outfit every time.

Left, right, Hans and Fritz!
Goose step, keep up yer mits!
Oh my, Ain't it a shyme!
Part of me outfit every time.

At toasting a biscuit me bay'nit's a dandy;
I've used it to open a bully beef can;
For pokin' the fire it comes in werry 'andy;
For any old thing but for stickin' a man.
'Ow often I've said: "'Ere, I'm goin' to press you
Into a 'Un till you're seasoned for prime,"

Above Sixty.. Part One

Not all people can face it bravely
But some do it exceptionally
Utilize time for own happiness
And bring joy for all on faces

World is not limited to youngsters alone
Lot more is to be done on wider screen
World has become so small and come quite near
I find nothing wrong if you see it without fear

Why age should bother it at all?
Lot many troubled people are around to call
Same interest but having no solution
How to ask and where to ask is only confusion

If you literary person then heaven is on flank
Your water can flow on both the banks
You can love any one you like at ease
You have lot more to explain and release

Milestones (For my son, Ross on his thirtieth Birthday)

Time rules the passage of our lives
We divide it from Millenia down to thousandths of a second
We use it to measure and to compete
We use it to Prosecute and to Remunerate

We mark the Milestones of our lives
We use them as Aides Memoire

The first day of School
The rigid rules of Discipline
The introduction of Punctuality
The construction of Timetables

We saw you at this Milestone
Your tears, your bravery, the shining lights of your successes

Suddenly, your treasures packed, you dashed toward the Mortarboard
Leaving behind Giant Land Snails and holes in other lives
This time the tears shed were ours
We dealt with pining dogs and adjusted our emotions

The Little Fauns To Proserpine

BROWNER than the hazel-husk, swifter than the wind,
Though you turn from heath and hill, we are hard behind,
Singing, 'Ere the sorrows rise, ere the gates unclose
Bind above your wistful eyes the memory of a rose.'

Dark Iacchus pipes the kine shivering from the whin,
Wraps him in a she-goat's fell above the panther skin.
Now we husk the corn for bread, turn the mill for hire,
Hoof by hoof and head by head about the herdsman's fire.

Ai, Adonis, where he gleams, slender and at rest,
One has built a roof of dreams where the white doves nest.
Ere they bring the wine-dark bowl, ere the gates unbar,
Take, O take within your soul the shadow of a star.

Now the vintage feast is done, now the melons glow
Gold along the raftered thatch beneath a thread of snow.
Dian's bugle bids the dawn sweep the upland clear,
Where we snared the silken fawn, where we ran the deer.

Human-nature relation

The Sun is beaming direct ultra rays
Sea waves rising and blocking the ways
Moon is hiding face with no cool shine
Nothing seems to be going very fine

Sudden change is causing alarm
Snow bound areas are turning warm
Greenery is disappearing along with farms
You don’t feel warmth when embraced by arms

Glaciers are melting with floods so common
Volcanoes erupt with force all of sudden
Earthquakes take toll with so much destruction
Human error tragedies too………………..

Nothing is going on in normal way
Nature is infuriated with complete sway
She has been naked by uprooting trees
Natural holocaust is asking for free

A Mother's Collection: Tissues, Bones, And Blood (Second)

Her second born

“Mother You Have A Baby Boy'
Seven pound of flesh lay beneath
her throbbing heart, teardrops
rained down on his light brown hair,
flowing past matching eyes, and
forming a salty pool in
the crease of his neck.
“Put him back in his warm home, only his
brother and me live in that cemetary room!
I swallowed and digested hope and
wrapped my tissues, bones, and blood
in tenderness and nursed the fruit of my womb.
Oh how delightful watching him suckle-feed warm
milk as my heartbeat lulled him to sleep!

“Big Mike” your childhood holds many memorable moments
and Klutziness is one:

In a billion eyes.....

as we painted the sky with a billion eyes that makes
us see the most beautiful lady of the universe; the
world is waking up from a deep slumber of a half
asleep

dressed in gown with an ascent of their swim suite,
as the billion eyes blink the beginning until the end
the breathless moment becomes the brightest star
of the sky, ready to set the crown of a little God
with of a beautiful melodic cinematic voice of sweet
smiling face of hello

dressed in flowing red grown, seems like floating in
the hyacinth of droplets moist in the vintage of
illusion hug in a dream of well wisher of honored
judges, the night lifted the hour of memory to believe
the majestic immortality of the Goddess of beauty,
where the envy of Zeus lives to eternity

oh! women of today, lift my soul to the end of my
