A Visit To Bryant Park-Kodaikanal
Waiting to tribute the nominal pay
Queuing gate-way was lined up in awe
That excited hearts eliciting Heaven all around
And I could hear in hushing chimes the angelic voices
From inside prattling in ambrosial tones
That in effect I was stunned entering into that Park
So as to tell you now, it was all rainbow-blots
Blossoming broad and wide in wonder wonderful
That my heart got to be tattooed on a sudden gusto
Over an area of 20.5 acres in luxuriant lushness
That you join me to surmise a divine mischief
Of the celestial chits blotting the rainbow-hues
Then throwing down on there kidlike all kids
Next to clear them in fear of the earthly sentry
Descended but to only flee in sheer urgency

Fairy Stars
My uncle Dan
was a Harlem Man
danced extra light on his feet
smiles like radiant sun
talked up close to ya
comfortable with himself
and you could always
smell his cologne.
The ladies loved him;
loved that laugh of his
he always had flattery for them
often given.
Uptown.
down town
he never came to the house
what without a gift;
loved us 'chilings'
soft candy

EverCrimson War
The bloody hearts that we consume,
EverCrimson they are,
The bloody streams, crimson with terror,
Are not very afar,
For eventually war will strike,
These haven heaven lands,
EverCrimson forming round,
Death hitting sands.
Causing terror, freedom felt,
In the depths of the sea,
Where drowning can lead to freedom,
A free death possibility.
But still as this war comes,
We shall never prepare,
For this EverCrimson War,
We never daren’t stare.

The Donkey and His Panniers
A Donkey, whose talent for burdens was wondrous,
So much that you'd swear he rejoic'd in a load,
One day had to jog under panniers so pond'rous,
That -- down the poor Donkey fell smack on the road!
His owners and drivers stood round in amaze --
What! Neddy, the patient, the prosperous Neddy,
So easy to drive, through the dirtiest ways,
For every description of job-work so ready!
One driver (whom Ned might have "hail'd" as a "brother")
Had just been proclaiming his Donkey's renown
For vigour, for spirit, for one thing or another --
When, lo, 'mid his praises, the Donkey came down!
But, how to upraise him? - one shouts, t'other whistles,
While Jenky, the Conjurer, wisest of all,
Declar'd that an "over-production of thistles" --
(Here Ned gave a stare) -- "was the cause of his fall."

The Duke and the Duchess
[THE DUKE.]
Small titles and orders
For Mayors and Recorders
I get - and they're highly delighted.
M.P.s baronetted,
Sham Colonels gazetted,
And second-rate Aldermen knighted.
Foundation-stone laying
I find very paying,
It adds a large sum to my makings.
At charity dinners
The best of speech-spinners,
I get ten per cent on the takings!
[THE DUCHESS.]
I present any lady
Whose conduct is shady
Or smacking of doubtful propriety;

The Burgher's Battle
Thick rise the spear-shafts o’er the land
That erst the harvest bore;
The sword is heavy in the hand,
And we return no more.
The light wind waves the Ruddy Fox,
Our banner of the war,
And ripples in the Running Ox,
And we return no more.
Across our stubble acres now
The teams go four and four;
But out-worn elders guide the plough,
And we return no more.
And now the women heavy-eyed
Turn through the open door
From gazing down the highway wide,
Where we return no more.
The shadows of the fruited close
Dapple the feast-hall floor;
There lie our dogs and dream and doze,
And we return no more.

Rich And Poor
By the castle-gate my lady stands,
Viewing broad acres and spreading lands.
Hill and valley and mead and plain
Are all her own, with their wealth of grain.
In the richest of rich robes she is dressed,
A jewel blazes upon her breast;
And her brow is decked with a diadem
That glitters with many a precious gem.
But what to the Lady Wendoline
Rich satin garments or jewels fine?
Or ripening harvests, or spreading lands-
See! she is wringing her milk-white hands!
And her finger is stained with crimson dew
Where the ring with the diamond star cut through.

A full day of sunshine
A full day of sunshine provides truck loads of
dazzling light,
evaporating traces of imprisoned water with blemishes
of grey.
a full day of sunshine revitalizes dead nerves,
imparting fortified strength to frayed network of
shoulder bone.
a full day of sunshine stringently fumigates
households of moisture,
tenaciously baking slip-shod exteriors of feeble
edifices.
a full day of sunshine makes morbid waters of the
river sparkle,
instigating animate fauna to creep up uninhibited on
the translucent surface.
a full day of sunshine would decimate clusters of

Enigma
Come riddle-me-ree, come riddle-me-ree,
And tell me, what my name may be.
I am nearly one hundred and thirty years old,
And therefore no chicken, as you may suppose; --
Though a dwarf in my youth (as my nurses have told),
I have, ev'ry year since, been outgrowing my clothes;
Till, at last, such a corpulent giant I stand,
That if folks were to furnish me now with a suit,
It would take ev'ry morsel of scrip in the land
But to measure my bulk from the head to the foot.
Hence, they who maintain me, grown sick of my stature,
To cover me nothing but rags will supply;
And the doctors declare that, in due course of nature,
About the year 30 in rags I shall die.
Meanwhile I stalk hungry and bloated around,
An object of int'rest, most painful, to all;
In the warehouse, the cottage, the palace I'm found,
Holding citizen, peasant, and king in my thrall.
Then riddle-me-ree, oh riddle-me-ree,
Come, tell me what my name may be.
