Blue Candy
Dots of light scatter across the view,
From a distance I'm closer to the view.
The water moves as the boats remain silent in the view,
The screams from the park sheltered by the moon.
Blue firemen spread their heat,
The powder now a liquid with emotions to defeat.
People fire their souls as the rides end their attack,
Blue candy waiting inside them to react.
I travel along the water through my mind's eye,
Remembering, I, with blue candy's tie.
I look to the park: I distanced from the view,
The view ending with my eyes looking to the moon.
I see no clouds as the fire spreads inside,
Desire blue candy hitting in all minds,
Raw emotion no longer hidden inside.
Blue candy burns inside my mind,
The powder waiting to leave my past behind.
Blue candy fires as it heats like the sun:

Snafu
Lullaby to a goodnight
No more fuss and fight
Out went the light
So dull once so bright
Ending of a sweet dream
Rebuilder of self-esteem
The sun shines as a beam
Now the changing of the regime
The piper carried the final tune
Up went the balloon
No one left to spoon
I wont be coming home soon
The caterpillar imaged from the cocoon
I was busy drawing a cartoon
The rain came down as a monsoon
From heartache I thought I was immune

The Old pond
the brook stream out to the valley that looks
old and clumsy, where the old pond
rooted the crystallized water mixed with
droplets of rain
sweet melody flows with therapeutic chime
echo the silent moment of day; calling the
little Dragonfly to catch the beautiful flower of
Lilies as the jiggle frog spare high notes for
a choral rendition of song to lie
window looks open wide and see the monsoon
rain wait to play, now the moon wind has
just come as swing the twig of the sun down to
jump into the pool and the beautiful frog enjoy
its stay
fall back the roof that leak, the sun has reach the
meadow and say goodbye, leaving the pond
a sweet memory for everyone, the old that

The Man By The Sea
He who lived in the house by the sea,
had withdrawn... utterly.
He who shuttered windows tightly,
and locked the door so solidly
against the wind from the sea,
the wild, wind from the sea.
had slumped to easy chair complacency,
stagnant with responsibility,
and walled with predictability
until he yearned to be free-
to open all triumphantly.
He who worked the proper hours,
sheltered from the distant powers
of sun and cold and monsoon showers
cried “Enough, ” and opened windows wide
To feel the sea wind riding a rising tide,
To hear mermaids sing their enchanted melody,
To watch gulls dip and glide above a foaming sea.

Progress
The folk of my village
Have progressed,
They have made the houses,
On the imported designs,
Much more sophisticated
Than the older ones,
Made of mud and stones,
With very low walls,
Over which the neighbourers
Could pass the saucers
To share the meal.
Now motors hum
Through the streets
Where voices of animals
Goats and sheep
Cows, Bulls and buffalos,
Milk being churned were heard.
Men and women have changed
But the seasons come and go,

It Is Raining Now....Wow!
Dense clouds pregnant with rain
Welcome some, others disdain.
Under the spell of monsoon
Some cry and others croon.
Rains, both awful and awesome
Waiting a year, for its welcome.
Bringing forth different emotions
Smiles, horror, anguish and satisfaction.
Drizzle brings dating couple to smile
hand in hand, enjoy walking a mile.
Intermittent rains make children happy
knocking out heat from their company.
Torrents create panic in traffic wards
deluge warns flood on the cards.

Am I an elf to jump up and down?
Do you know what I had gone through,
When he beat me in lightening speed?
Family surface tension pushed me to commit,
The impermanent nuptial with unknown slot,
Dreams of evaporation had sent us to roam,
The rich and poor cities that hold the flags,
Up in the sky, our union witnessed by everyone,
We had become thick not thin to hide the Sun,
Human on the earth kept the umbrella to shun,
Problematic air not let us to stay at a place,
The nagging gravity of earthly difficulties never in pause,
Hanging between the heaven and fruitless dreams,
When I was collided with thunderous sound,
I had lost all that positive energy that kept me stable,
After losing the hope and desire temporarily,
I dropped down as rain on the trees and roads,
Not knowing the next destination, collecting dust and mites,
Ran through the monsoon drain for the treatment,
Rejuvenation at the spa of chemicals and ozone,
I am fresh as the flowers on the hills of independence,

I am but an Angel...
I am but a twinkling star in your life of dreams,
In your eyes I stare into a beauty so extreme.
My heart it has taken flight upon this whipping wind,
I hear the calling of your soul something must begin...
Lost amidst a monsoon, raindrops falling from above,
I am incomplete and empty I need somone to love.
I am but a whisper hear me calling out your name,
Perhaps you will answer and begin this lovers game...
I've been lost within the darkness concealing what I know,
But with your light now shining, it's time for me to grow.
For I am but a raindropp that falls gentle on your face,
Lingers there and sparkles until it is erased...
I know not where we're going or where this path may lead,
I am merely the planter all my words are just as seeds.
Will you be the water that shall surely make them grow?
For I am but a rainstorm let me teach you all I know...

I and Poetry
Want to be with you;
The desire suffers all day long
Amidst my routine work.
Meetings, reports, presentations
Keep you away from me like a distant dream.
You come and waive your hands at me
And I let you go.
Like the way,
You came to embrace me today;
When I heard the sound of first dropp of monsoon rain
On my window glass pane.
With the strike of Northwester,
When a sudden darkness dropped its curtain
In the meeting room
And a speech stopped with complete silence,
I could not respond.
Not that I could open the door for you.

September Villanelle
SEPTEMBER VILLANELLE
September invokes something special in my ancient country
No 'Fall' here, no amber leaves, upon her crowded earth
Her billion people stand united, share the Indian psyche
Post monsoon, the land is a lush green mostly
Amid her crowded cities, one feels the warmth of her burning hearth
September invokes something special in my ancient country
In this land of a thousand festivals, one stands primary
It's the worship of Lord Ganesha, the elephant God of divine birth
Her billion people stand united, share the Indian psyche
The son of Shiva is worshipped by all with glee
Massive idols of Ganesha smile and spread the mirth
September invokes something special in my ancient country
India has cultures, religions and castes aplenty
Open to all festivals; of a free spirit no dearth
