Quotes about wisdom, page 15

Wisdom is the path to God

There is suffering and a cause for it.
There is an end and a path for it.
You are the cause. Wisdom is the path.
To view, to think, to speak, to behave,
To live, to act, to feel and to attend,
You should employ wisdom, wisdom alone.
Then mounts and valleys look flat.
Buddha is the Guide, not the God.
The Dharma is the path, not Karma.
The Sangas are only the companions,
Who can take you through eight paths.

To where? Lord Buddha did not say it.

Fool

No,
But must go
By the argument
With little amusement

Sad part to resent
Over the comment
But truth remains
There is much to gain

Speak no truth
Hold tongue behind teeth
It is sign of wisdom
Witnessed seldom

One of the strongest sides
Difference is very wide
But fool is wise
Full of wisdom with no promises

Dealing With Wisdom

Dealing on the wisdom beats learning,
A thought from God collides with education.
Knowledge is best from the book,
Under the cover is more wisdom
That I extract, fully using the sense I was bestowed
By the spirit and the saint,
This maid is a queen, of highly elaborate dress,
Of quiet talking manners, wonderful zeal.
The faces that hide are recorded for time,
And time does not flow irregularly,
For it steams the pudding of atoms
And we like the dark matter or treacle on top.
Electric wisdom is for the people of treacle and syrup.

The three bad fools

Every fortnight report shows
Wisdom is the last in the class.
One day the English Teacher asked pupils to write an Essay
using the word 'fool'.
Then after sometimes Teacher noticed that Wisdom has finished first.
'Wisdom read aloud your Essay to the class.'
He stretches his story; When my father was drunk
He shouts along the road and Mom drags him home.
He mutters like a sick man;
'There are three fools I dream always,
A Prime Minister of a remote country, Landlord and our Son.'
Then Mom argues; 'Not three dear and what about you? '

I KNOW NOTHING O' GOD (Burns stanza)

What's good, know not. What's bad, as well,
know not. But lo, my heart does swell
with love, O' Lord and eyes do well
when hear your name.
And why my lips always drivel
Your tales and fame?

I try no logic Lord. No doubt
as well I entertain about
Your greatness, since my brain isn't stout
and faith, just blind.
These songs I sing and pleas I shout
are undefined.

Wisdom is no wisdom; they say,
unless it lays a floral way
to reach, at last, your sacred quay.
But what's wisdom?
Know not I; but belongs my clay
to Your kingdom.

The Seers!

A DAY IS BORN FOR THE WISE!
SEE YE THE FUTURE!
IT HOLDS WISDOM FOR THE WISE!
THEY THAT SEE THE PRESENT ARE BUT LOOKERS!
THEY THAT SEE THE FUTURE ARE BUT VISIERS!
AND THEY THAT SEE ETERNITY ARE GRAND VISIERS!
I HAVE SEEN INFINITY AND BEYOND!
AND LO! THE WISDOM OF THE WISE IS BECOME FOOLISHNESS!
AND THE WISDOM OF THEIR ASTROLOGERS ARE BECOME INSANITY!
IF THEY BE WISE, WHY SOWETH THEY' ETERNAL TROUBLES AS SEED FOR THEIR FUTURE CHILDREN?
FOR LO, LIKE A SEA IS THE ENEMIES THAT HAS FALLEN UPON THE POWERS THAT BE TODAY!
TRUELY, I SAW MYSELF IN THAT SEA!

Sonnet: The Book of Life

I clasped the Book of Life onto my chest!
O God, I pray to never give it up;
And as I read I know it is the best,
As God empties my Life’s most bitter-cup.

O God, Let wisdom me emancipate;
Let foolish desires not fill my mind;
O protect me from crimes, men perpetrate;
My peace of mind in Thee alone, I find.

Let fortitude afill my mind and heart,
Through which alone comes wisdom that I seek;
Let follow prudence/ temperance/ thinking-art;
A mind and heart that remains humble/ meek.

The Bible gives me all my wisdom God,
To live a virtuous life, spared from Thy rod!

Having Wisdom

Having wisdom should enlighten,
But sometimes it can frighten.
Especially when its expected,
Those of age should reflect it.
But they don't.
A disproportionate of those shallow...
Can be callous with a callowness expressed.
Believing an aging process,
Delivers them out of an immaturity that is further digressed.
Yes...
Having wisdom should enlighten.
Having it should produce the brightest moments,
Of our days.
Yet it seems that having wisdom does not mean...
An extension of it shared is not declared,
But the thought of it demeans.
And that is troubling today,
When so many escapes from it are seen!

I am the son of King Solomon

I am Raouf the son of Solomon the son of King David.
Inherited wisdom that grows, till my happiness faded!

Long time ago my father prayed for wisdom.
He didn’t know that later on I will be the victim.

Because in wisdom there is much sadness,
The light hurt my eye, longing for darkness.

And now I have seen all the miracles of life.
“Nothing worth” the fact the hurts like a knife

The price I have to pay for having a Royal blood
Seeing blind people around me who think that I am odd

I am Raouf the son of Solomon the son of King David.
The one who live in grief while people thought that he’s granted

Sonnet: God's Ways are the Best

The things I think are best for me to ask
From God don't seem to work too well for me;
Those things God gives to help my every task
Appear the best always ultimately.

My wisdom and experience don't succeed;
My knowledge fails me often in this world;
My ambitions go wrong because of greed;
In frustration, so often I seem hurled!

God's decisions come late and not my way;
Yet, they surprisingly remain the best;
No human mind can think like God, I say;
With help of God, we can pass any test.

Man's foolishness begins when wisdom parts;
Man's wisdom ends before God's prowess starts!
