Quotes about flag, page 16
A victory flag will fly with democracy
There are so many falling roots in our banyan tree
We are the younger roots among these ones;
If these roots are anchored in the land,
it is an array of strengthening the
principal root of that tree;
Then - a victory flag will fly
Over the root that forms an array;
On top of it - frontal area of the flag -
There will be three thilaks - these are
FREEDOM
DEMOCRACY
SOCIALISM.

I Surrender
Baby I’m waving the white flag.
I’m giving up.
I surrender.
You have captured my heart.
You have imprisoned my soul.
There is no escaping for what I’m feeling.
And I’m here to tell you I am sentence for life.
Sentenced to love you and care for you until death do we part?
And since I no longer can or want to fight against it.
Baby I’m waving the white flag.
I’m giving up.
I surrender.
I surrender to our love.

Across Lakes
Stride across the lake and stroll across,
Placing your feet where there is nothing;
Water attaches itself to humans. Humans learn
To swim, and be happier with effervescent liquid.
This is the blood of the soul,
A fine potion for supernatural occurrence,
Holding the flag of impossibility
For the race of super humanity,
Like the flag of surrender and description.
Our will is your will,
For we are students of the same religion.

Death For Peace
A fallen soldier prays
For peace, unity, love, and his life
Wounded on the battle field he lays
Longing for his home, family, children, and wife
Never again will there be a more honorable death
Than this of bravery; for us to live freely
So the valiant soldier whispers with his last breath
'Would you too, for the flag, cease to live? '
And now, let that eminent flag fly high
Full of gratitude and pride for the one who died for peace.

The White Pall Of Peace
Over the peaceful veldt,
Silently, snowflakes fall!
Silently, slow, unfelt,
Cover the Past with a pall!
Brave brother Boers, let us hie
To your and our brothers dead;
Over the spot where they lie
Tears, yours and ours, be shed!
Underneath turf, cross, and stone
Combat and discord be husht!
Blest be the heroes unknown,
Blest be their deeds and dust.
Now that the war-clamours cease,
And silently snowflakes fall,
Give we the kiss of Peace,
And one Flag be the Flag of us all!

The Flag of Courage
I am the flag of courage
so carry me with pride.
I shall make the final statement
to the moment when you tried.
There are many coloured ribbons
for the deeds that are done.
Many are the medals
for the battles that are won.
None greater than the flag of truth
that you are asked to bear.
May those who stand beside you
take pride in what they share.
Let faith and honour hold me
to the courage of your name.
And I will go forth boldly
your courage to proclaim.

Yellow flagged
it's racing under the yellow flag
no overtaking
and can't be late on my brakes
i'm right on her tail
but i cannot get by
for if i did
i would be disqualified
i now can see the scenery
and the red and white of the kerbs
waiting for penalty imposed on me for pushing her
pushing her sidewards
into the concrete
bursting the tires
and slide upside down
just like we all do
just like we all do
sometimes
and then the flag is green

Art of Yellow
whether the Simpsons, whether Valentino Rossi
whether sunflower, whether Tweety
whether gold, whether smiley
yellow is entertaining icon
from the sun, to the emperor
from traffic light, to police line
from the janur, to the flag*
yellow is the warning sign
whether egg yolk, whether turmeric
the vitamin C, the National Geographic
cheering the day, bring up the mood
yellow is energizing color
*in some part of Indonesia yellow janur means celebration and yellow flag means funeral

My Flag
The red I see should stand for valor
but blood is what I see.
The white I see should stand for pureness
but surrender is what I see.
The blue I see should stand for courage
but sadness is what I see.
Now the flag will fly
and I will cry
for those who don't see like me
that this flag we all revered
will go down in history
as a dream deferred
for the dream is blurred
so it's not flying for the free.
It's flying for a memory
of a dream we thought we had.
Instead the memory is fading
and it's made me deeply sad.

A Modest Table
A Modest Table
The table is like a flag wrapped little coffin
only it is not a flag of hubris and nationality,
but a cloth with roses, sewed by a woman
with time at hand and love in her heart.
The table is rough hewn but solid it will not
suffer illnesses of old age, but perhaps get
wood-worms.
It will last longer than I will, till new owners
will throw it on the dump or break it up and
use it as firewood a cold winter night.
In the meantime, as we wait, I rest my feet on
it when watching TV.
