Cute Little Dog Achilles

ACHILLES IS A CUTE DOG WHO IS BLACK AND GOLD,
HE LOOKS LIKE A PUPPY BUT HE’S 9 YEARS OLD!
HE IS VERY SPUNKY FOR HE HAS A LITTLE STRUT,
HE IS VERY ORIGINAL LOOKING NOT YOUR AVERAGE MUT.
HE IS HALF POMERANIAN AND LONG HAIRED CHIWAWA,
HE DOESN’T BARK MUCH OR GO “BOW WOW”.
HIS OWNER LAUREN IS AFRAID OF HIM BEING OUT OF HER SIGHT,
SHE KNOWS HE MIGHT GET WHISKED AWAY DAY OR NIGHT.
PEOPLE FIND HIM ADORABLE AND GIVE HIM TREATS,
EVERYONE LOVES TO PET HIM, HE IS REALLY SWEET.
NOW IF YOU SEE HIM WITH LAUREN, STOP AND SAY “HI”
TAKE A PHOTO OF HIM FOR HE IS THE CUTEST LOOKING DOG ALIVE.

Always Remember

always remember that when
a fake dog
takes a poise on your sofa
at the middle of your
living room
or your study

try looking
try listening carefully

it never barks.
it is your silly puppy without a mommy
that barks

in the mirror. barking at its image
waggling its tail

the fake ones
do not bark, remember that, and i know that you know
that i know about this plasticity

Hilaire Belloc

Introduction: The Bad Child's Book of Beasts

I call you bad, my little child,
Upon the title page,
Because a manner rude and wild
Is common at your age.

The Moral of this priceless work
(If rightly understood)
Will make you - from a little Turk -
Unnaturally good.

Do not as evil children do,
Who on the slightest grounds
Will imitate the Kangaroo,
With wild unmeaning bounds:

Do not as children badly bred,
Who eat like little Hogs,
And when they have to go to bed
Will whine like Puppy Dogs:

They've Been In Therapy For Years

Don't you wish my concerns,
Were more to your pleasing?
I'm sure you do.
This would eliminate,
Undo and strenuous manipulation.
With less deceit to accomplish your deeds.

But what I could do,
Is supply you with references.
There are those I know,
Who are willing to be concerned about anything!
They've adopted being available to anyone,
And on call at a moment's notice.
To be bled of common sense.

You have a pen?
Contact them.
They've been in therapy for years.
And gullible.
Without a hint of seduction,

Murphy and Brandy-the love dogs

Murphy is his name,
of a Corgi mix
is he.

2004 we brought
brandy home,
she is a Border collie mix

Murphy fell in love,
it was love,
at first sight

Brandy acts like,
a brand new puppy,
she passed this on to Murphy

Murphy is ten,
had him since 1997,
brandy is six,
both act much younger.

Not Too Many Distributing Empathy

When something is broken,
It is difficult to piece it back together.
It does not sustain,
A sameness expected...
One wishes to regain.

It is like two who love,
Experiencing their first argument.
What had been thought unconditional,
Set conditions to a limit.
To discover are lamented.

When a puppy once cute,
Grows to be booted from the door...
A howling sound unbearable,
Can not restore...
A 'before' now ignored.

When something breaks away from its need...
There are not too many distributing empathy.

One of Those Blessings

You say you remember me,
From a past I have long forgotten?
And you remember almost in detail...
What I did as a child and what schools I attended.
Teachers I had.
Who my friends were and what we did.
The old neighborhood and where I use to live.
The swing I swung on...
And my first puppy love?

I appreciate that.
But I don't remember you at all.
I don't remember you coming around,
When we had very little to eat.
I don't remember you...
When my family and I slept on one bed,
And for years we did that as we went to sleep!
I don't remember you during my latchkey days.
Where were you in the 'brickyard',
During that phase?

The Aura

Pictures not yet drawn,
Pages not yet turned,
Still to be accomplished feats
Linger in infinity as a mist,
Somewhere between personal history
And possibility...

This is the Aura
If it could be seen,
Of the delicate framework
Surrounding each
Like a devoted puppy:
Closed now, then out of sight,
Underfoot, then distant,
Indifferent but dependent,
It must return and remain
A servant faithful or less so,
Still and extension of persona,
The Master! ...

Treasure Hunt

I've been around the world in my mind
Seeking treasures I did not find;
Chasing the rainbow on an endless trail
Just like a puppy chasing it's tail.

To the depths of the great blue sea
Seeking that which was hidden from me;
Just what is it I'm looking for?
When I find it, will I still want more?

What will fill my every need,
Turn my mind from ravenous greed;
What will satisfy my hunt for treasure?
What will overflow my life with pleasure?

Time flies by as I grow old
Still looking for that pot of gold,
Never once stopping to realize
It was always there before my eyes

I like to be

A black puppy on the road to heaven
but scared of rabies.
A Well-to-do lady will take me
on her way bounds home.
If I am a pebble at a riverside
or a pearl in a deep sea.
Remove my heavy garments
and be naked at a peak of a mountain
before I jump.
A new born child as a God son
in a quiet isolated nunnery.
An unburned candle in a poorest hut.
A pencil sketch drawing of a blind shepherd
and a sorrowful song of a dumb lass.
A soot on a chimney of an exploitation human factory.
I want to go back to my village old thatch school
and learn with my kind teachers again
the meaning of life.
Sleep besides my poor mom
and I promise her this time
