Quotes about succumb, page 16
Newly Divorced, new life in Mine Town
To that wasteland did we escape
oh what secrets dragged with,
into embraces did fall,
beggars past curfew
feeding on any embrace,
lonely-desperate-entities drawn...
war-ies traded; sorrow and comfort
entwined, realisation dawned!
lost in that land, selfish spoilt, death pointing
snickering, choices made! ! !
crawled up out;
body strained to end!
little by little...
the filthy foul incidious trench-
rats and disease rife
deep and dark, yet warm!
folly! many cowered safe!
flirting behind its shadowery form,

Winter Dream
The winter sun stays shy and hidden
Behind fleecy woollen pillows
Foot sinks into silky coolness
Of a black glittering meadow
Striding towards the distant canvas
Of a line that is drawn
Lifts her to a special place
Young Energy reborn
Inhaling all the salted earth
Sensual to her soul
Brushed strokes of
Curved carved glass
Rush to take the shore
Senses succumb to feelings
Contentment and peace
Standing still to behold it all
Magnificent and free
Mind is responsive
of course she knows the score
Created from artistry

Caught between the truth and a lie
Caught between the truth and a lie
~
I've been led astray
gave my hand to a merry dance
and swayed to what I perceived
as an honest appraisal of life
found myself believing at will
whatever came across my way
when enough visor was offered
religion and public opinion
which has long since been divided
by the strength of their sales pitch
has come into the state of play
I've succumb to both at times
and left wondering exactly why
fool me once and shame on me
fool me again and I've a lesson to learn
third time can never bare any charm
after that there is no help
perhaps hope is fleeting as well

Who Made Hell?
Who made hell
God has made the earth an other heaven
Beautiful land, mountain, rivers and ocean
Wonderful creatures, plants, birds, animals,
Day and night, air; to subsist lot of materials.
He created human, to protect this heaven,
Then why human is perturbing his creation?
Why he is making weapon, gun and canon?
Why creating hatred and killing the human?
To show power, forces others to succumb,
To fill own desire make few of them numb,
For own pleaser causes others to suffer,
For own richness he grabs wealth of others?
To answer the profound question, can you tell
It was a heaven, who made the earth hell?

Unable To Find A Grave
My memory is a shadowy ghost
That I cannot dispel
Or a dark car driving me down
Unhappy streets I’d like to avoid.
When I think tears have dissipated
And a sunrise of genuine smiles
Is over the horizon, you reemerge
In lonely dreams and I awake
With a heavy heart and a wet face.
From the night of insufferable separation
When you told me you didn’t love me
Until all these purposeless years later,
I have been a breathing corpse
Unable to find a grave.
Yet, you are around me
Like the dense air of a humid night,
You have soaked your presence

Heroes Are Dead!
Like sacrificial lambs
were heroes quite dead,
with courage they thread
the fate that others feared
to die for sake of majority.
No matter what obstacles
or threats to their mortal lives
heroes dare risk their own honor
to prove the innocence of victims

Early Sunsets Over Duskville
The ochre hue spills mirthfully
like champagne in the sky,
it devours our memories
and blears our privacy
There is a sublime beauty -
a shuddering melancholy,
but I shall forget about it
like how you left this place
I'll keep myself intact
so I can watch you persuade
your forgotten debaucheries
and I'll try to keep my stare
And in my window, the hour
would unwind its hands and
break every cloud until
I should no longer feign resistance

Les Victimes
For those who died
The Gulf Coast - 29 August 2005
Spare me, Oh Death
I, who love this wretched life!
Deliver me from thy breadth:
Your predestinate scythe.
Let not the waters come to be my grave:
A transient existence for a wandering soul,
Who cherished more than life ever gave.
Merely a mortal that the heavens cannot seem to extol,
I lie in wait, bargaining for my lifetime,
Bound and broken and cold.
Is there no one who can set aside the mockingly sublime?
Shall the innocent endure here?

Fractured Pieces
Fractured pieces, those parts of a life
that have splintered and fallen apart
are much too hard to remember.
They live silently in your heart.
But you never forget them or how they came
as you try to leave them behind.
A splinter or two winces and hurts
as once again you find
it surfacing again out of the blue
with scenes that brought it about.
Why did it happen? What was I thinking?
Finally it leaves you in doubt.
If I let my guard down and don't take care
do I now have just what it takes
to walk the straight and narrow path
and avoid the big mistakes?

Your Theories Are My Spoiling Salt
In the vast ocean of life you laugh
at me completely forgetting the
cycle of a wave at my low ebb
you frown and put forth theories
after theories explaining the causes
of my down fall, they are spoiling
salt on my pleasure memories which
I had once because of that of my high
position but forget not under my barren
dry desert there is sufficient sap to succumb
your wrath and abundance sand to jam and blind
your victory tank: this is just a null in my life
before the storm to make an upheaval strong
enough to hold you down to make it sound
to propagate in high and low wave: this time
the sun too has promised me that he will rise
in my kingdom so I see your one button system
will not sustain for long
