Beauty Queen
You are beauty queen
We have never scene
Such a natural flower
As if emerged after rainy shower
You look smart
That appears from very start
You look best in curly hair
Looking lovely and very fair
In your outer show
You are superb with fine glow
But be cautious and go slow
As you still have miles to go
You are still not mature
Uncertain about carrier and future
Many hurdles still to cross over
You may need fine shelter or cover

As the Caretakers of 'Your' Interests
Ladies and gentlemen...
It has come to our attention,
Many of you are homeless and starving.
And those of you who are not...
Are close to those experiences.
However...
We wish to inform you,
As the caretakers of 'your' interests...
And well being,
We...
Those you have elected to keep you,
From hitting rock bottom and hitting brick walls...
Are doing our utmost best to impress you,
With the acknowledgement...
That our concerns are 'your' concerns.
And...
Rest assured,
We are 'not' just maintaining those impressions!

From All, To All
From a doubt,
Spirals up a snare of weakness,
From a fear,
Lashes out a vision of bleakness,
From a fall,
Grimaces down a sickly illness,
From myself,
Am I crippled by enslaved meekness.
From a dream,
Arise the winds of illumination,
From a hope,
Are cast off the bonds of imitation,
From a purpose,
Unspoken words whisper of this haven,
From your smile,
Is born the renewal of recurrent occasion.
Yet from all is taken far greater than I,
The Other is nothing to the outshining eye,

Innovative Steps
There is no way to protect,
One's original creations...
From acts of theft.
And yet those who achieve,
Remarkable success...
In the plagiarizing of another's best,
Eventually find themselves...
Less motivated when it becomes detected,
They have abilities to follow.
And not from themselves,
Take innovative steps.
And...
A thought to express with originality,
They have yet to experience...
A delivery like that without assistance.
Right now they search,
Through other authors' works...

The Fear Sanction
If you don’t get saved and become a slave
You’ll burn in hell the preacher did tell
You’re rotten, unrighteous and born vile
You belong to the devil, deceived by his vile
Your fate has been decided, no denial
Tried and convicted without a trial
Go to school but don’t make the grade
Can’t get in college, no financial aid
Can’t get the skills and have no trade
Future looks bleak even fear is afraid
Society doesn’t want you
You don’t have the money they are due
You don’t possess what they require
You’re a mistake and object of friendly fire
Ya spend yo whole life living in dread and fear
Controlled and manipulated by the austere

Since the blue scarf was left at work
I wore my pink scarf this morning, in
the office I draped it around the blue
one, suddenly my coat rack scene is
bathed in the setting sun's pink after-
glow - a sunset scene on the beach
emphasising the pink of my imitation
orchids and roses, the contents of my
cupboard is slowly transferred to the
office, tonight I shall take the scarves
home, create a new scene tomorrow,
at least the white scarf with glitter still
is around my neck below my black
sleeveless camp top for the great out-
doors which I dream about while sitting
here in the hushed quiet of the open-
plan office where official complaints
about substandard IT services offered
break the tedium of a sad lament on
my desk by someone classified as a

Clearly Confused
She was clearly confused
Bewildered and bemused
How can it be called a civil war?
Brooding on it more and more
Dining on some jumbo shrimp
That waiter is such a wimp
Need more sweet and sour sauce
If only she had some dental floss
Hoping the bill wasn't pretty ugly
Pants are fitting a little more snugly
All in all, the meal was awfully good
Waistline was tight after she stood
Her car is parked by a Dodge Ram
Take 4th St. to avoid a traffic jam

The Weight of Poetry
Poetry is core of arts
It’s not strange!
Not knowing that poetry is core of all arts
It’s not strange as well!
The many who don’t know that poetry is core of all arts
It’s not a strange at all!
Although the poets usually make foes against vulgarity
A city makes the poets wandering on the streets
Should utterly lack of the manner and style
A society brings the resentment to the poets
Should fully lack of consciousness
Solitude is the major topic in life
Solitude is poetry
Lack of poetry, art is a form of imitation
Lack of poetry, power is a presumptuous mediocrity
Lack of poetry, fortune is a wealthy poverty
Lack of poetry, love is a superficial organ

Under The Hues
From my chair by the window,
there are many things I can see.
Through the gap between the houses
on the other side of the street,
a glimpse of a harbour
with small boats tugging at their moorings
trying desperately to be free
while silhouetted under the moonlight.
Beyond the harbour lies the city
with its urban sprawl.
Thousands of stories about lives
whom under its umbrella live.
From their peaceful days
and the ones carpeted under continuing squalls.
The new and the old
share the same spotlight.
The yellow streetlights
make poor imitation suns.
