Quotes about mick, page 17
We just sang real simple songs in a simple way that got to people. We didn't try to tart them up with orchestral arrangements and all the stuff. We were all blues fanatics. We like R+B and blues and simple, gut-feeling music.

When I did it, I was a starving musician in London in a basement flat, but a simple tune with the right singer or the right situation can become very well liked and accepted. I'm only too pleased to say it happened with that one.

If you've been playing for a few years, especially in a group context, you'll see if you have the ability or the passion to want to carry on. It's something that you have to be dedicated to and you've got to love, no matter what happens.

It really comes down to Mick. He's the one who was constantly trying to get these five people in one room together. This is his love, his baby. It's his band, and there's nothing more he loves to do than get up on stage and play with us.

That's what I find with any good song, you just have to let it happen. Out of about twenty songs you might write, one of any significance. It might be thirty or forty, but I just keep churning them out and churning them out in hope that one of them will stick.

I suppose because I have a good ear, I could pick out harmonies and learn by ear. I still think that you have to have an ear for music to really be able to feel and understand what you're playing. You can learn by watching and listening to other people.

What is METAPHOR, anyway?
Quiet down, class
Mick wants to lecture you
about one of his pet subjects
METAPHOR
in poetry and verse
What's an analogy?
Is it a comparison? Of how many things?
How are they alike?
Synonyms - image, symbol, trope, figure
of speech, simile, allegory, correlation,
likeness, personification
You know these things?

Dancing on Your Grave (The Misfit's Revenge)
They say you're cunning, strong and brave,
A lad the girls all want to kiss,
But in the last analysis
I will be dancing on your grave!
Tom, Fred or Harry, Mick or Dave,
You're heroes, but, in spite of this,
I will be dancing on your grave!
Bill, Stewart, Larry, Mark or Chris,
You thought that you could take the p*ss,
But, when you're dead, remember this,
I will be dancing on your grave!

Ambidextrous!
Ambidextrous!
Trick and treat,
Amends,
Amusement,
But, i saw another person in the picture.
Trick, kick, lick, sick, pick, quick!
Aeon,
And, they ended up at the same place;
Muse, amused!
Mick, brick, Rick, Buick, flick;
And like crossing Louis River!
Adduce,
Age, adage!
And, as fast as anything.
Location, allocation!
Nick, wick, hick, stick, Vick;
And like the water from yesterday,

Losing My Virginity (by Sally)
I lost my virginity
Behind the school pavilion,
I can't remember his name,
It was just another game
That kids get up to,
I didn't feel any shame
'Cos all the others did the same
Behind the school pavilion.
It didn't amount to much,
It's not as if he was 'one in a million'!
He was probably called Mick or Harry,
Nigel, John, or even Larry.
The psychologists
Would like to make a theory out of this,
But I reckon they're taking the piss,
There wasn't even a romantic kiss
Behind the school pavilion.
