A Monster

This monster barbarized with battle cry
The whole of my cubed head, kicking with its teeth.
The culmination was custom of its foraging,
Just to alienate the other liars, the monsters.
Some lethargic ones are imminent in this beaten path,
Eyeball to eyeball we receive notification of the staff.
This ruinous staff occupies my heart so bold,
Glimmering its rubies, twinkling and posing.
The magic of a wizard is audacious and strict like stone,
It broadens my head of the very god of ugliness, a single monster
In front of my head, the bold liar notifies me of its presence.
Instead the stupid creature fetches some terror from the only ruby-
It is the staff of wizardry, “Stick of Strength”, loosening its powers.
Why do monsters succumb to magic or wizardry?
It is because lethargy is their only weakness.

Thanksgiving

The people in our country have set aside a day
to celebrate with family, a day on which they pray
that giving thanks for all they have will make them think again
that many are not as fortunate and then they'll say Amen.

The table set before them will whet their appetite.
The turkey and the dressing and yams will bring delight.
The cornbread and the cranberries are ready for the eating.
The adults and the children once again are meeting.

When the dinner's over, the best is yet to come.
The pumpkin pies with whipped cream and then the men succumb
to watch a football game or two until they fall asleep.
And when the dishes all are done with leftovers in a heap,
Mom will hand them out to all so later they'll ingest
the tasty morsels for a second time.

Thanksgiving is the best! !

Torturous Pain

Blessed relief from torturous pain,
the pain, the pain that seems to remain
gives me pause to simply ask why?
Who can give this answer before we die?

Why should the body be compromised so?
There's no heavenly answer that let's us know.
The sins of the world always show up in men
and they experience the results and question when.

When will we learn to be kinder in our acts
towards ourselves, towards others and not turn our backs
on those that are suffering? Why not now?
Is there a brain-lock in our systems to show us how?

I cannot believe that a God with all wisdom
made our bodies so easy to succumb
to every pain and disease that's known
with nothing to stop it but a fancy headstone.

Inevitable for M 'lady Mary Gordley

The rugged rocks although they try
cannot prevent, merely delay.
The flowing stream which will pass by
and in so doing wear away.

The rocks which try to stem the flow
and slowly grind them down to sand.
This is the secret rivers know
theirs is the task to change the land

Although the rugged rocks maintain.
That they will keep their pride of place.
The water moves them grain by grain
until there’s very little trace.

They may endure for centuries
but water flows eternally.
The rocks succumb eventually
and leave the river flowing free.

Yes, Evil Does Exist

Yes,
Evil does exist.
And is attempting to prevail.
To hide or run away from it,
Allows it a power to weaken us...
And to do it without fail.

There is a call from those of peace,
To have peace from us cheered and hailed.
But evil has to be combatted.
And to do it,
We must stand tall.
And not crawl on the ground,
Like frightened sand dwelling snails!

Evil does exist.
And is attempting to prevail.
To hide or run away from it,
Allows it a power to weaken us...
And to do it without fail.

With Faith

With faith I can not deny...
God is my supply!
When things are not so great,
I know He holds my fate!
And through my thick and tear dripping days...
My determination to remain faithful to Him stays!

If trials to test me come like they do,
I do not seek to flee and run...
Like many who succumb,
And become subdued!

I walk on my path with a confidence kept strong!
Adjusting with each foul and pitch thrown.
I am in this game...
To manuever around boulders,
And remove obstacles.
Crushing them into pebbles.
Ignoring the fact they may be stones!

While My Kayak Gently Weeps

(INSPIRED BY THE BEATLES SONG 'WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY
WEEPS)

Shadows of winter, full blast,
Numbly, I succumb to morpheus's charm
Under duress, somnolence's catatonic 's few crumbs,
I can't afford the luxury to dream, a pupil of the forlorn,
Yet, haunted by the memory of that buoyant waters,
I regress, unleash this floodgates of tears,
Shadows of winter, full-blown attack,
Strip of my identity, I yield inevitably to its will.... until
Spring's pull, its cry, its song, may thaw the snow
Earth's cycle starts the spin, come full circle,
Baby's eyes of blue, begins a darker azure hue,
Spring's rain, the ebb and tide of spring's love,
The waters come alive, baby, it pays to bid my time,
Where do I put my feet?
To dance again upon the fragrant waters fleetingly
To float and frolic away once again, I flee
Towards where the sun sang a lullaby to me

Jesus Christ I'm Not Scared To Die...

Jesus Christ I'm not scared to die
but I'm a little scared what comes before
will I sin, will i commit that which you abhor?
can i stay strong and true, or defy
you, even you my God and my first love
will i succumb to desire and lust or set my heart on things above?
I do not fear death
I practically long for that day on which I draw the last breath
when I finally see you face to face
but can I be a good example for as long as I live?
or will I fall from grace
and yet what can I do you shall not forgive?
I pray to you my Lord that you give me strength
to continue to follow you, because what i fear most
is not the sting of death, but the length
I must strive to follow you without being morose
but sharing your love and joy and gospel
to save the world from hell
but i don't trust myself
Jesus Christ I'm not scared to die

Shallow Clouds

The eyes skylarked
through the moderate climate,
the smoke vertiginously suspended
in the kneeling atmosphere

There is a redolent breeze
known to the famished
and thirsty for grandiosity -
A stropped poignancy

To the puny and fragile
the dust mote's dance is no different
from the foreboding wolves
howling for the sky's thunders

I wonder why some things
can never be fortified
by the mangles of iron and fire -
faint and naked, always defeated?

We Are One-We Suffer Together

The Revolution lives…
Mind pollution gives
A reason to this game
A season with no name

A rapture's what we'll call it,
No, you just cannot stall it!
Giving in…seduced by dark
No longer just a Question Mark

Asking why? Or, how? Or, when?
In the dark-yes yet again!
We succumb to all the death around us
We feed and lie
As the rest surround us

A taste so pure
So bloody, fresh
We bite down
Upon the flesh
