Freed of Most Addictions

My time will not be wasted,
By a dispersing attempted through your rhetoric.
My genes are not compose to be,
In a receivership of it.

My mind has been freed of most addictions.
Although I remain in conference with nicotine.
And I've ridden wild horses determined to throw me off.
But there I stayed to learn lessons.
Some of which were extremely painful and mean.

My time will not be wasted,
By a dispersing attempted through your rhetoric.
My genes are not compose to be,
In a receivership of it.

And none of it no matter how slick,
Is even welcomed here to make a quick visit.

Sonnet- Genes Matter But…

No longer secret's the genome of man!
The gene make-up of all beasts will be known;
Man's actions and misdeeds, alter none can,
Except man himself, using his mind own.

How can the new knowledge of genes prevent
The growing crimes against men in this world?
For his grave sins unless man can repent,
He will suffer in hell or when he's old.

The society's problems, man must resolve,
Thro' self-control and love of his neighbour;
By brotherhood of nations, man can solve,
Most of the problems and make earth better.
Knowing one's genes is not the solution;
Know thine own mind by self-realization.

Hair Today - Gone Tomorrow

I shudder to think
What life would be like
If women, like men, started thinning;
No peace would be found,
Men would go underground;
There'd be wailing and grief,
There'd be grinding of teeth,
And that would be just the beginning!

Hair-driers and dyes
Would be laid to one side,
As experts were given the time
To find a solution,
To make restitution
By each and all means,
To repairing the genes
Accused of this dastardly crime.

Yes, I shudder to think,
As all women, as one,

My Genes

My genes have just abandoned me
And taken off my son
To far exotic places
Looking for more fun.

They never even warned me
Or said a last goodbye
They thought that they knew better
And o'er the sea did fly.

It really came as quite a shock
This infidelity
But genes care not for feelings
Or nationality.

Their loyalty is suspect
They are quite devoid of spines
To put it impolitely they're
Two-timing little swines.

Beloved Parasite

Within the womb two strains combine.
Some genes of your with genes of mine.
To form a brand new entity.
Which thrives in the security.

Divides and sub divides again
develops limbs, organs and brain.
All of its needs mother supplies
A veritable paradise.

Takes what it needs quite selfishly
existing parasitically
Its only purpose is to grow.
That’s all it knows or needs to know.

But mother knows the time will come
when he must leave his present home
and face the hostile world outside.
Her hopes and dreams well satisfied

Absurd Breast Cancer Prevention

“Surgical removal of the breasts before any sign
of cancer is one way to significantly lower the risk.”
Journal of Clinical Oncology, March 15,2005

'Changing Your Lifestyle Can Change Your Genes...
genes are not your destiny', Dean Ornish, M.D.,
Newsweek, June 17,2008

She is scared to death, so what is the answer?
Tell me doctor, please, advise her while she is healthy,
For she is statistically at a high risk of becoming ill
And afraid to contract the dreadful breast cancer.

Cut her healthy breasts, remove all hale tissue,
The good surgeon tells her, with assurance insists
That the operation solves the problem, reduces the risk
To zero, and so cancer is no longer the issue.

But the injudicious medical counsel fails to inform her

You're An Individual Not An Appliance

How do we arrive at who we are,
What is it that makes us unique,
While some stand still others go far,
What makes us strong or weak.

Some turn out good while others are bad,
Is that really down to our genes,
Do they really dictate you'll be sane or mad,
Are there really no in betweens.

Some are born leaders while others are led,
But leadership can be learned,
We can all have a say in what lies ahead,
With willpower you can achieve all you have yearned.

If genetics are true then we don't have a choice,
About who or what we will be,
Does that mean none of have our own voice,
If it's true then none of us are free.

The way it has to be

The way it has to be

The world is full of predators,
the strongest prey upon the week
It’s one of nature’s primal laws.

Only the fittest live to breed
and pass strong genes to their offspring.
They must be ruthless to succeed.

Mankind does not obey these rules
and by preserving weaker strains
Appears perhaps to prove that we are fools.

We breed beyond capacity
and damage the environment.
Avoiding the simplicity of laws

which Mother Nature made.
The weak and flawed will not survive

I Think Im A Clone Now

Isnt it strange
Feels like Im lookin in the mirror
What would people say
If only they knew that I was
Part of some geneticists plan (plan-plan-plan)
Born to be a carbon copy man (man-man-man)
There in a petri dish late one night
They took a donors body cell and fertilized a human egg and so I say
I think Im a clone now
Theres always two of me just a-hangin around
I think Im a clone now
cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down
Look at the way
We go out walking close together
I guess you could say
Im really beside myself
I still remember how it began (gan-gan-gan)
They produced a carbon copy man (man-man-man)
Born in a science lab late one night
Without a mother or a father, just a test tube and a womb with a view
