Unseen Companions of the journey!

Hi everyone

I received this from Fay Slimm today concerning the death of our good friend Mary Martin. Please do go to the site and light a candle for dear Chrissy.

Thank you,

Patrick

I was shocked!
Mary Martin, your sad demise!
O it's really unbearable?
Paddy sent me two books before he leaves
And then you sent me his two photographs
Before you leave, how do I get things of Paddy now?
I realized life's a journey and not a race!
Tomorrow I am passing the 60th mile post
On my way to your new domicile!
We're in one family of this ridiculous segregated World!
May you rest in peace beside my friend Paddy and your best friend too,
Along this unending journey!

Paddy Casey

When Paddy Casey left the Clara road forever
The feeling was widespread he would be back
For he could never be happy in heaven
If heaven did not have a greyhound track.

Three times a week to Cork track he did journey
From Inchaleigh just out of Millstreet Town
Sometimes through Macroom and sometimes on the narrow high road
That winds along by Mushera up and down.

I doubt that he could feel happy in heaven
If he could not watch two greyhounds course a hare
In January at the Millstreet Coursing Meeting
In the Town Park I fancy he's still there.

He is one I still remember Paddy Casey
I knew him since I was a five year old
He was a cheerful and kindhearted fellow
And you well might say he had a 'heart of gold'.

The dream of gifts!

She hugged me wholeheartedly
And gave me a bottle of Multi-Vitamins!
I kissed on her forehead and offered a second-hand book
From a junk shop.
'Kama Sutra! '

*For my shadowy friend Paddy Martin!
Here few Oxygen to you and I want to see your resurrection soon.

[ Go there, watch the Sun set over the land
You and I loved so intensely.
Taste the scent of Eucalypt
Carried on the evening breeze.]
'My Eternal Valentine'-Paddy Martin

Nature

MR VAVROOVAHANA PATRA, nabarangpur, odisha, India
NATURE
Grass is green; on it falls the sun-shine.
The peasant on the field with a plough looks thin.
The paddy plants look beautiful and green,
Goats graze in the field; they are nine.
A stream flows down with a muttering sound,
Attracts poets as drunkards to wine!
The mountain is bald but still looks beautiful;
The river water’s sound is tuneful.
Moon-beams kiss the paddy plant,
Fulfilling the desire of peasants and their wants.
God’s nature is mysteriously beautiful,
Deriving pleasure from it, farmers become dutiful.
THANK YOU

A parcel from Overseas beyond the Great Barrier Reef!

As a habbit, firstly
I check the sender's name & address
Oh! It's from New South Wales
Australia, My dreamy burial grounds
To rest in peace with Aborigines!
Guess who sent the precious gift?
Brother Poet & Humanitarian
Paddy the Martin!
Two pocket size books
His poetry Anthologies.
'Poems that bloom in my garden
And The ancient Poet.'
I have not started yet the reading
But that smells a rare fragrance of a flower
In the garden of Eden!
Where the Humanity began!
Thank you is not enough
For the soft soul's honest smile
And I add this; 'Let us be friends
And smile together until we reach

The lovely land

The sea is sky-blue and the sky, sea-blue.
The earth is coconut-brown and the coconut, earth brown.
The clouds are water-dark and the water, cloud-dark.
The paddy is grass-green and the grass, paddy-green.
The valleys are spice- rich and the spices, valley- rich.
The rivers are lagoon-seeking and the lagoons, river-seeking.
The rubber is wealth-prone and the wealth, rubber-prone.
The culture is art-borne and the arts, culture-borne.
The traditions are style made and the styles, tradition made.
The rich blur with the poor and the poor, with the rich.
Education sweeps like monsoon rain;
Hygiene shines like fountain water.
Pride surges like the Periyar in summer.
The people charm the land and the land, the people.
Men are woman friendly and women, men friendly.
The land is Kerala, lovely, lovely, lovely.

Inner Peace

The morning in late autumn
misty and a little cold
much like the mind
slightly depressed and lone.

The landscape vague, unclear,
the earth seems pensive and gloomy
as it lies before me
like my life's november.

The rays of the rising sun
sweep away the morning mist,
all appear tranquil and bright.
My hopes with it return.

There goes the reaper
walking along the road
that leads to the paddy field,
trailing behind him is the gleaner.

Charming Lady

Charming Lady

Charming lady- let fly your silky and black hair
On your unkempt hair who the angel will faster flower
How pleasing your Perfect pairs of breast are
As White water lily like the Himalaya- the pious extending all over.

On your unkempt hair that the angel will fasten flower
Your perfect shape of hip-attractive breast’s pair
As white water lily like Himalaya-the pious extending all over
At your rich productivity land-Who will be the farmer?

Your perfect shape of hip-attractive breast’s pair
Like a sailed boat rises waves sever
At your rich productivity land- who will be the farmer?
Perfect functionary Bangladeshi I am radish brown in color.

Like a sailed boat rises waves sever
At wind flow at green paddy, semen’s fruit is foamy river
Perfect functionary Bangladeshi I am radish brown in color

An Drinaun Donn

A HUNDRED men think I am theirs when with them I
drink ale,
But their presence fades away from me and their high spirits fail
When I think upon your converse kind by the meadow
and the linn,
And your form smoother than the silk on the Mountain of O'Flynn.

Oh, Paddy, is it pain to you that I'm wasting night and day,
And, Paddy, is it grief to you that I'll soon be in the clay?
My first love with the winning mouth, my treasure you'll abide,
Till the narrow coffin closes me and the grass grows through my side.

The man who strains to leap the wall, we think him
foolish still,
When to his hand is the easy ditch to vault across at will;
The rowan tree is fine and high, but bitter its berries grow,
While blackberries and raspberries are on shrubs that blossom low.

Farewell, farewell, forever, to yon town amongst the trees;
Farewell, the town that draws me on mornings and on

Black July

The fastest dog in Millstreet when I was a young boy
Was owned and bred by Maurice Connors his name was Black July
Trained by Paddy O Keeffe at Dooneen a leading trainer then
In the Kennedy cup at Limerick he had a famous win.

A son of Cheeky Tippy and Maddest Lily the striking black and white
Was Ireland's fastest greyhound when he was in full flight
The Irish Derby favourite he was the one to beat
And one of the fastest greyhounds to come out of Millstreet.

Sold to Harry O Neill the bookmaker the word it got around
For a record price for a greyhound then 'twas said two thousand pounds
And Black July for Maurice Connors had surely paid his way
For two thousand pounds in those times worth thirty grand today.

Since Denny Dennehy and John Joe Cronin's hounds brought to their Paish fame
Duhallow home of champion dogs so many one could name
And Black July a top class dog when he was in his prime
The mighty speedster from Liscreagh inspired the bards to rhyme.
