I'm just riding this train as long as I can. As long as I'm having fun, I'll do it. When it stops being fun, I'll try something else. Maybe I'll open up a chain of Popeye's Chicken.

The Draft #3
Sometimes i become afraid of myself because my anger brings danger. Its like this almost infinite power that's just rushing through my forearms just as popeye; my anger being the fuel like the can of spinach. Suddenly i become blind to the world as i'm faced with the images of the past. Now, i'm reliving it and feeling all the pain and then suddenly, i find myself drained of all energy, thoughts, and common sence. I'm finding my lack of self quite mordant although i'm morbid

Those were the Days
Oh for the days of ginger-beer
The days I hold so very dear;
Still vivid in my memory's eye
Games of hopscotch and eye-spy.
Saving jam-jars for the school
Catching 'cockies' in the pool;
Longing for my Christmas toys,
Making lots of childish noise.
Oh for the days of spinning-tops,
Playing robbers, playing cops;
Playing chiefs and indians too,
Paper feathers, paper glue.
Bouncing on the bed upstairs
After whispering my prayers;
Still I see myself at play,
So close but yet so far away.
Oh for the days of birthday jelly,
Watching popeye on the telly;

Roly-Poly Lover
I have a roly-poly lover
and her name is Two Ton Tess.
When she hugs me,
she squeezes me half to death.
It is like getting a hug
from a giant grizzly bear.
Her muscles are as big as Popeye’s
with the spinach she devours.
When friends ask me why I date a sumo wrestler
I simply reply. She is my Two Ton Tess,
my big, big lass.
Last week she stopped a locomotion
as she bent over on the tracks.
When the conductor asked what she was doing.
Tess quickly replied
I lost a penny somewhere and I was looking for it there.
She had the reputation
of being the strongest girl around
and I will vouch for that.
She was and she still is

J. Wellington Wimpy: Icon of our age
Wimpy, Popeye’s sometime pal,
is the icon of our age.
No, he isn’t handsome
nor especially that brave.
He set the pattern for our lives
as we grew old and gray.
We’ll gladly pay you Tuesday
for a hamburger today.
Our deficits grew larger
than they ever had before.
We lusted after gizmos
produced upon a foreign shore
And should they ever ask out loud
how we would ever pay-
We’d said we’ll pay you Tuesday
for this I Pad bought today.
Who knew, as jobs departed,
what the future held in store?
We borrowed our homes value,
then we borrowed yet some more.
