The Maranoa Drovers
The night is dark and stormy, and the sky is clouded o'er;
Our horses we will mount and ride away,
To watch the squatters' cattle through the darkness of the night,
And we'll keep them on the camp till break of day.
For we're going, going, going to Gunnedah so far,
And we'll soon be into sunny New South Wales;
We shall bid farewell to Queensland, with its swampy coolibah
Happy drovers from the sandy Maranoa.
When the fires are burning bright through the darkness of the night,
And the cattle camping quiet, well, I'm sure
That I wish for two o'clock when I call the other watch

The Pain I Forgot
It all started with my man and i sitting at the hospital waiting for blood test results to see what was happening to me
suddenly after hours of waiting the doctor came in and said congratulations your pregnant
months went by i still think of him as my most beautiful surprise
some days were hard others were easy most flew by
so im 3 days past my due date
been in back labor for 5 days
it hurts and its crazy
woke up to contractions at 11: 00
went to the hospital they said your 2 cm dilated
and we know your contractions are 4 mins appart
so go home try to walk as much as you can
walked for a half hour around the house contractions got 2 mins appart
they took me bk i was 4 an a half cm i said look just give me the epadural
they came back a half hour later my aunt kept saying sandy
blow out hunters birthday candles
they broke my water an gave me the epadural finally said ok its time to push
half way through the called in an expert
sandy dont panic but hes face up
now your gunna feel pressure just dont push
it wasnt pressure it was pain

As the cacophony and hustle and bustle swiftly rolls
In the heart of Colombo the wind gallantly strolls
As the waves swirl and twirl on to the sandy lawn
Aeolus hums her melodies in a breathtaking song
She was a naive jogger on the sandy beach
Away from her husband's fists' horrendous reach
A jog in the morning to escape life's shatter

Sandy's the beach

A Rime Of Sandy
Hurricane sandy;
They say she never comes
quite in handy,
Sweeping many off their feet.
Then you strive, you struggle
You refuse to accept defeat.
But yet sandy comes once again
Like a rain in it's own season,
Washing all your labours away
And you cry, you run to your daddy
Who lives quite far away in Heavenly
Saying, please daddy, my sweet daddy;

Watching waves wash up the beach and washing out again
The water shining scarlet as another day begins
Gazing past the droplets falling on my window pane
