Quotes about searing, page 2
Thunderstorm
Cobalt fingers probe
naked ground
when explodes
the darkest cloud.
Edge of lightning
searing air
with raucous roil of
heaven’s laughter.
We watch in fear
‘til setting sun
sheds royal tears
of golden love.

Lovers To Friends Declined
it is easy to go
from friends
to lovers
harder to go
from lovers
to friends
human natures
new lovers nurtures
old lovers skewers
once loved carcasses
firepit searing rotisseries
elevated temperatures

Iluminated darkness
Walking evil
Iluminated darkness
searing hate
Iluminated darkess
killing because
Iluminated darkness
starvation
Iluminated darkness
polution
Iluminated darkness
greed
Iluminated darkness
Our fate
Iluminated darkness

A Warm Morning
In morning's hush
heat builds,
leaves glitter.
Into pure silver
dissolves the shade.
Birds are calling
winging it
to high, dark eves,
any place
where the tattered night
may hide
and seek retreat
from day's clear,
searing eye.

You develop a third eye where you kind of know where they are in a room at all times but no matter how vigilant you are as a parent, at some point, you'll look around a room and can't find them and there's a searing pain that goes through your body.

I Give You This
There as searing beauty in the air
You breath. The is viscous tartar
In the teeth I leave.
No one can be wiser than the
Man who has worn it all,
Close to his chest.
I have worn nothing but diffident
Bequests.
So, you are better than all the rest.

Make Me Whole
My heart is filled with fire
It's shaped just like your name
A dumping ground for love
Burned into ash of shame
Fueled by desire
Mixed with words unsaid
Half of me is broken
The other half is dead
Put out my searing heart
Fix my broken soul
Resurrect my body
Come and make me whole

Our Love
Searching the heart,
A revisionist pledge.
As into its depths I sink,
Deep with searing thoughts
I struggle to find its essence.
What is nature of our love?
There is no answer,
Only a silence of content.
For there is no rhyme
Put to page can describe.
No reason for love;
It just is.

Perpetuity
After the searing flames have gone.
When the choking black smoke has blown away.
I walked where once green forests stood.
Only ash and charred ruin remain.
The feeling of despair I could not hide.
Then at my foot midst grey dust appeared.
The brightest sliver of green grass.
And I knew all was not lost.
Perpetuity reigned.

Liar
Dark spirit
seals my eyes,
hides from me
how wise trees
recall lusty
summer green.
He says
they're dead,
and when I die
my pain will end
with his dubious gift
of nothingness.
But I don't believe
this lie
of passionless
eternal night,
for in my core I feel
