Quotes about applause, page 20
The culture demands writers?
What for do you write?
For an applause.
What from do you write?
From borrowings.
Why should you write?
To get pleasure in catharsis.
Why do you chose writing>
Most suited to an idler.
Do you write to cure the society?
No.
Do you write to save the society?
No.
Then, why?
Writings to people
Are cosmetics to women.
The culture demands them

Often Awed
A doer of good deeds,
Isn't sitting to receive accolades...
Heard,
In thunderous applause.
Thinking what is done is deserving of it.
A doer of good deeds done to do...
Is often awed,
That what is done naturally...
Gets any attention for those deeds done,
That pleases the giving of the doer...
Whose choice is the choosing,
Of the doing of those good deeds to do.

How could you
graduate of a provincial Belly Dancing School
Belinda barefoot on the tiles
adjacent to her swimming-pool
evoked Salome
for the 'coffee-morning set'
and to polite applause
removed the seventh veil
how the polystyrene dromedaries paled
and the moon dipped low
behind the cardboard minarets
yet Turkish-delight was spoiled it seems
by what she did with the tambourine

Pollywog
Divvying the bog
with its phlegmy flail
the wobbly pollywog
digesting its tail,
into a muscular frog
gears its porous omnibus
hauls itself on hardening limbs
aboard a slab of log with little fuss;
into night croaks
to no appreciable applause
cocks its spring
jumps, nabs a bug on the wing
and in the midst of splash slips, a days work
done, back into the syrupy, methane-breathing murk.

Two way applause
I’m lavish with praises for you
So that you’d be so to me or
Since you’ve been so to me.
Each of us basks at our glory.
Egos want food that we serve thus.
It’s mutual as we intend love.
The imitation of jewelry
Is the limitation of the have-not.
We aren’t real jewels.
No harm, no loss, and hence no shame.
Soothing is a pseudo-applause.
Let us feign jewels to each other.

Standing Under Spotlight
I can be a shadow on anyone's wall.
But I can not do that,
Reflecting my own light.
I can cast a shadow at noon...
To have others believe,
I have energy to give I don't need.
But to leave to cast no shadow at all,
I am not yet prepared to do.
So...
If I am caught,
Standing under spotlight...
Bright with a smile toothy white,
You know the applause I am waiting for...
Is anticipated to come from you!

No Lines At All
I once 'starred' in a play.
Some years ago.
And one of the cast members,
Became so upset.
Because my lines got most of the applause.
That same cast member convinced the critics.
Not to mention my name,
In the review of the play.
Although the one complaining,
About my 'scene' stealing.
Had no lines at all.
Not even one to plagiarize.
And these are the people,
Who embellish their experiences.
Throughout their lives.

Ovation
Ovations are outworn on me, outwardly, out rightly,
Entire stretches of swordplay dictate my rage;
This lacrosse is kosher, I mean this faith is mine,
Then the loss of distinguished knotty points is benign.
Lactation of others survives knowledge, knuckled by some,
Kicked by some, known by some, and stained forcibly.
Festive points are payments, on the ridge of heavens,
For the applause is far too strange and deplorable.

Welcome To The Show
The night is cool and young
Lady gypsy gazes into the ball
Faires dressed in fancy colours
The man who walks sky tall
Welcome To The Show!
Jesters laugh and play games
Young ladies dance the night on
Music plays loud and clear
The world's a stage we go along
Welcome To The Show!
Tricks, dance, and acted plays
Do our very best to entertain
Applause is giving in respect
Smile after smile in exchange
Welcome To The Show!
