Sugar Daddy
And they stood in the waves -
he with his camera,
she without her clothes,
nervous and shivery -
but determined
to play it cool.
The pics were ordinary,
nothing out of the box,
but she kept them
and forty years later
one adorns her lover’s study door
with others of his mates,
dearly departed mostly
(so many of them too) .
He was her mentor,
brilliant and irritatingly obsessed
with his work and her.
He taught her much.

Summer-sun Kissed Goodbye
Weary eye of sun from mountain peeked;
Reddened to leave the day as summer says goodbye;
Not a farewell for another season’s break;
Fall will come undress leaves, trees as naked to eye.
May its wave taunting the feet engraved on sands;
Erased yet memories remained in mind;
The ocean held the sun’s streak as if for last glance,
Of summer-sun now leaving us behind;
Bones of trees, dust to dust now unseen;
Fled with the wind, dirt etched on the cacti’s tomb;
Tumbleweeds rolling in a dreadful scene;
As ghostly barren lay yet for another spring-womb;
As the fog crawled before the morning sun,
An eyelet through the fingers of clouds, it’d shun;
Clear the sky for the playgrounds of young
Birds eyeing to a new paradise when winter comes;

‘Happy Birthday! ' Dear Mary, Mother of Christ.
Blest is the virgin child who rose
To be, Christ's mother upon earth,
Although immaculate by birth,
And through her fiat, though God chose!
Blest is the womb that bore Jesus,
‘Immanuel' or ‘God with us! '
For although vexed in mind and heart,
Obeying God, she did her part!
Blest is the disciple of Christ,
Who made Him do miracles first;
And shared His agony till cross,
With sorrowful heart, by His loss!
Blest is the Eve who's Heaven's Queen,
With stars upon her crown for sheen,
Who intercedes for sinners all,
Who repent and obey God's call!

Old time
can one just do whatever one wants?
even if that was true how does one find one's own will?
the heart is so deceitful who doesn't succumb to taunts
to peer pressure, it get us all, first to win first to fall
guts open for us, they show us their true nature what happened to those kids bright and immature
budding with morals flowering with kindness, pollinating joy
such were the days of my youth
when great friends surrounded and protected me like a roof
ah so halcyon
not sleep but golden and prosperous, it seemed evil had no power
there was no darkness in their hearts, no malevolence, no death of innocence
this is what I ardently desire...just to have these days again when people had sense
I want the old time not this new
If anyone knew
it would come to this, maybe something could have been done
maybe we could have won
against this looming evil, but nay
we have let it consume us i say
deep into the darkness we have trot
can we get out now?

Life Is
Life is an extroardinary gift,
the chance to learn about love.
The gift that never gets opened
like a pinata that hangs above
just waits for the anticipation
of everyone in the room
to see it shower its contents
on everyone with love.
Life is a story for the telling,
the chance to hear about love.
The story that never gets told
is a story that some people shove
underneath the covers,
afraid that they might succumb
to that overpowering feeling
about a story that makes them numb.
Life is an adventure so lively,
the chance to act on a whim.

For you woman I shall not die
For you woman I shall not die
You woman of notorious name and high fame
Only foolish men with piercing eyes you may slay
But I and they are not the same
Why should I expire
for your eyes' fire
Ha slender waist? So what?
And for your swanlike limbs? I say tat
But I run from your round breast
the fresh skin, the crimson checks
hair like a waterfall, long and rich
Indeed, Indeed I shall hold
through sturdy high walls and wide moat
Please God! Not me for any such
yet the golden hair my eyes enthralled
the forehead thin, the gracious ears

An Eccentric II
Was she ever married? Surely you'll want to know.
Yes and no being the precise answer:
yes, to a man who died of colon cancer-
to him she proved a good and prudent wife;
but, no, it was all remedial. The real love of her life
was a viscount who vanished
during a bombing mission over the continent-
or was it the Pacific? T'was him lent
her life it's strange trajectory-
it's sad 'sic transit Gloria' quality.
No, she couldn't forget her lost aviator.
Wrote, you might say, till she was blue
the world over for a clue
to his whereabouts. Was he tortured?
Was he ever, mangled, found? Succumb to some
lonely impulse to leave his life behind-
including among it's jetsam, her?

Light Forces And Other Needful Things~
There was a fire in his words
A sort of erotic tale
Bowing down in reverence and awe
His adoration- far beyond the pale;
Stirring alive my very soul
Forming a sacred bond of: 'Admire'
It was: 'a one on one' meeting of the minds
That turned my feelings into fire;
Wanting to run for fear of disgrace
Yet, oh, so tempted by his call
Moving me past 'the right and wrong' of it
Trying desperately not to fall;
Must not succumb to his charms
Though in him-i do aspire
For in a mere matter of days-it seems
He has given meaning to true desire;
Inspiration 'tis abloom once again
Even though i do not understand
Two individuals-many miles apart
Yet, seemingly-walking hand in hand;

Never Give Up On Hope
Never give up on hope never give up who knows what tomorrow will bring
Keep on hoping for a happier future for hope is a marvellous thing
Lady luck she may smile on you good things come to those who wait
Who knows in the not distant future you may have cause to celebrate
A first division win in tattslotto or some other unexpected windfall
Life does have it's good and it's hard times and it's good and bad memories to recall
Never give up on hope always keep on hoping your good times for you may be ahead
You cannot hold much hope for the future if hope in you is all but dead
If you succumb to feelings of negativity the universe out there you do tell
That you are happy with the hard life and you accept an earthly hell
Never give up on hope for hope springs eternal the quitter cannot hope to succeed
But if hope in you is ever present it will serve you in your time of need
So never give up on hope tomorrow well may be better and the good times for you may be ahead
You do not have much of a future if hope in you is all but dead.

On a wife's death
With death's dark eye acquainted she had been made ere this,
When to her son, her first-born, she gave the farewell kiss,
And when afar she hastened beside her mother's bed,
It followed all her faring with warning fraught and dread;
It filled her with foreboding when standing by the bier:
More sheaves to gather hopeth the harvester austere.
So soon she saw her husband, that man of strength, succumb,
She said with sorrow stricken: « I knew that it would come!'
She thought that he was chosen by God from earth to go,
Would check, her hands upthrusting, the harsh behest of woe;
And with her slender body, too weak for such a strife,
Would ward her gallant consort,-and gave for him her life.
She smiled, serene and blissful, as death's dark eye she braved;
Her sacrifice was given, her heart's proud hero saved.
Our love and admiration lifted a starry dome
Of happiness above her in life's last hour of gloam,
And snow-white pure she passed then to her eternal home.
Such tender love and holy to heaven's bounds can bear
The souls that it embraces in sacrifice and prayer.
