Quotes about aflame, page 3
The Fire
Desire is fire that eats what it lays its tongue on.
It leaps, licks, be aflame, engulfs and guts.
Then too it never dies but lurks as cinders.
Desire is fire and remains from cradles to
graves.

Twins Celebrate
Forty words:
Twin love floats on air
the fourth week of September;
happy smiles are everywhere
each year we remember.
In fantasy you speak my name
setting my heart and soul aflame
because it's birthday time again
the fourth week in September.

Early I Viewed The Morning's New Birth (Cavatina)
Early I viewed the morning's new birth,
the eastern sky
was aflame while I walked on a path
that wounded by
a small copse, some hillocks and a field,
up birds did fly,
pheasants and guinea-fowl screeched protest
while in nature I was extremely blest.

Two Beings Merging Souls Aflame
languages of love as unique infinite
as differs intensity purity of lovers souls
embrace shared paired breath serene
lusts sated speak different love languages
true love ennobled is afire in energized cells
exalted in two beings aflame merging souls

Wind - Chimes
Wind-chimes
clamor in the night.
Breezes rush
through unseen leaves.
Darkness revels in deeper sight.
Call me from
this empty room
and give the wind
my breath of
desire.
Set my sluggish soul aflame.
I’ll rise like sparks
and fill the night
with your
consuming
fire.

Fire and Gold
Fire is gold aflame
Gold is fire solidified
Fire and gold gold and fire
Bring about the sunset of the Indian summer
I presume it caught the eyes of the blind bard
Who created his Helen from its effulgence
No wonder Euripedes hid her in fire
Because privacy of glorious light was her

The Ebony Moonlight
Lightning sets the skies aflame,
Thunder sounds and calls my name,
Blood dripped and stain the pearl white rose,
And once again the raven crows,
The rainbow fades and clouds move in,
The warm red liquid stains my skin,
Near the end my sight goes black,
But they don't know, I won't come back.

Heart in Three Liners...
Heart looks around
To be cuddled and allayed
Foolish whim!
Boisterous heart
Whips blazing windy nights
Body set aflame!
This heart throbs
In solitary confinement
Island, vulnerable!
Where's heart?
What's its business?
Just to beat?
Subtler the beat, better
Rushing the beat, insecurity
Funny heart!

Gleams a Light (revised)
Across the darkness
on my windowpane
breaks waves of lace
splits night to color
that night cannot understand,
bright hope ignites
My soul's aflame
‘till the unseen hand
breaks the link
and night fills
my sight again;
yet I’m content
for deep in my core
the fire still shines
and hope still soars.

Second Time Around
Fictional:
I remember September
in the autumnal rain,
when we gave up the pleasure
and ignored love's refrain.
A Last Waltz was the answer
to unite us again...
of course, you were the dancer
to set hearts aflame.
Now we'll stay together
no hand waves from the train.
We will treasure the pleasure
without heartache or pain.
