Secure Yourself
Secure yourself to heaven
Hold on tight, the night has come
Fasten up your earthly burdens
You have just begun
In the ink of an eye I saw you bleed
Through the thunder I could hear you scream
Solid to the air I breathe
Open-eyed and fast asleep
Falling softly as the rain
No footsteps ringing in your ears
Ragged down worn to the skin
Warrior raging, have no fear
Secure yourself to heaven
Hold on tight, the night has come
Fasten up your earthly burdens
You have just begun
Im kneeling down with broken prayers
Hearts and bones from days of youth
Restless with an angels wing
I dig a grave to bury you

Sir Andrew Barton
The First Part
'When Flora with her fragrant flowers
Bedeckt the earth so trim and gaye,
And Neptune with his daintye showers
Came to present the monthe of Maye;
King Henrye rode to take the ayre,
Over the river of Thames past hee;
When eighty merchants of London came,
And downe they knelt upon their knee.
'O yee are welcome, rich merchants,
Good saylors, welcome unto mee.'
They swore by the rood, they were saylors good,
But rich merchants they cold not bee.
'To France nor Flanders dare we pass,
Nor Bordeaux voyage dare we fare;
And all for a rover that lyes on the seas,
Who robbs us of our merchant ware.'
King Henrye frownd, and turned him rounde,

Book First [Introduction-Childhood and School Time]
OH there is blessing in this gentle breeze,
A visitant that while it fans my cheek
Doth seem half-conscious of the joy it brings
From the green fields, and from yon azure sky.
Whate'er its mission, the soft breeze can come
To none more grateful than to me; escaped
From the vast city, where I long had pined
A discontented sojourner: now free,
Free as a bird to settle where I will.
What dwelling shall receive me? in what vale
Shall be my harbour? underneath what grove
Shall I take up my home? and what clear stream
Shall with its murmur lull me into rest?
The earth is all before me. With a heart
Joyous, nor scared at its own liberty,
I look about; and should the chosen guide
Be nothing better than a wandering cloud,
I cannot miss my way. I breathe again!
Trances of thought and mountings of the mind
Come fast upon me: it is shaken off,

Pharsalia - Book VI: The Fight Near Dyrhachium. Scaeva's Exploits. The Witch Of Thessalia.
Now that the chiefs with minds intent on fight
Had drawn their armies near upon the hills
And all the gods beheld their chosen pair,
Caesar, the Grecian towns despising, scorned
To reap the glory of successful war
Save at his kinsman's cost. In all his prayers
He seeks that moment, fatal to the world,
When shall be cast the die, to win or lose,
And all his fortune hang upon the throw.
Thrice he drew out his troops, his eagles thrice,
Demanding battle; thus to increase the woe
Of Latium, prompt as ever: but his foes,
Proof against every art, refused to leave
The rampart of their camp. Then marching swift
By hidden path between the wooded fields
He seeks, and hopes to seize, Dyrrhachium's fort;
But Magnus, speeding by the ocean marge,
First camped on Petra's slopes, a rocky hill
Thus by the natives named. From thence he keeps
Watch o'er the fortress of Corinthian birth

Traces Of Me.....[SHORT; Personal; Humor; Death]
If when I pass I leave few traces,
let me leave at least some smiling faces,
on a chosen few.
I may have been at times a pain in ass
(and I don't mean when I was passing gas)
to a chosen few.
Retired, I wrote poems for myself and to share
(though it seemed most I shared with did not care)
with a chosen few.
I never with my money was wild.
I shared with wives, non-profits, and my child.
That's what I would do.
I've tried to live like a good Boy Scout.
But I gave up religion, and I sometimes shout.
What's a guy to do?

I Have Chosen
I have chosen your face to see,
the face that always beckons me
to come alive and recognize
all the desire inside your eyes.
I have chosen your hands to be
the hands I'll always want on me.
I come alive with every touch.
These hands have come to mean so much.
I have chosen your heart, my love
to be the heart that is just made of
all the beats that say to me
'I am beating just for thee.'
And all my choices in this life I live
have gifted me and will always give
pleasures beyond the realm of real
because of how they make me feel.

What They Do Best
They complain of a lack of involvement,
But have chosen to qualify those
Who wish to become involved.
And when no one wants to become involved...
They complain of a lack of involvement,
But have chosen to qualify those
Who wish to become involved.
And when no one wants to become involved...
They complain of a lack of involvement,
But have chosen to qualify those
Who wish to become involved.
And those who are involved...
Have no qualifications to qualify anyone!
And that's what they do best!
'Could 'redundancy' be the purpose
To stifle those 'with' purpose,
On purpose? '

Double Rainbow
Double rainbow!
The details, the muse, the act, the art, the colours! !
Seen up in the sky with the image of Yisrayl Hawkins;
For, He is the Chosen One as the Branch,
To represent the Laws and the Prophets!
And, the Truth of Father Yahweh is always declared by Him.
The signs in the sky! !
Look up high to know the truth;
For, these signs are only given to the chosen few among the lot!
Signs and wonders,
Loook up high into the clouds! !
For, this world is now closing up;
And, we all need the truth from the One Chosen to lead us!
For, He is the Only One sent as the Branch with the Light.

The Questions In My Mind....
i send my my hands
free, so many birds in air
they are questions
for you to answer, yet you
whom my heart claims a rock
for friends, where they can lay their bodies
and rest, have chosen silence,
and i look at you, with so much
understanding, knowing that you have
chosen the comfort of your own
safety, i nod, i may agree
that your chosen side shall give you
the best for the meantime that i bleed,
